Times out.. When it works, this device is great. The problem is that after a few months, it started to not scan every other time. So I would scan an item and it would work.. then scan another item and it just sits there. Eventually it times out. I then scan the failed item again and it works. When it times out, it is like 2 mins so it has become very frustrating and I will be replacing it.
Will not work wirelessly on Mac without Java runtime environment! ***Will not work wirelessly on Mac without Java runtime environment!*** So, if you refuse to use Java (as you should) there is no clean way of using the scanner on a local network. I tried all sorts of things, including Bonjour, but couldn't get it to work. I suspect that if you are highly technical, you might find a way to make this work but after several infuriating exchanges with Brother, I decided that their product (or their company) was not worth my time... read more

Not so good All ready quit working!!! Can't figure out how to return
returning this :( im returning this :( it jams constantly with even less than 10 pages. It crumples the pages, very frustrating. Everything else is fine but I can't take the jamming.
good connectivity, VERY poor scanning I have bought this scanner to replace a ScanSnap that was a perfect machine but l;acvkled the wireless scanning and direct to my network/dropbox/email functions. The wireless features are very nice, I can scan direct to my NAS without opening the computer, which was my main goal. I can also put the scanner in the kitchen to scan receipts instead of near the desktop in the basement. The goods stops right here. DONT BUY THEM I love this scanner, WHEN IT WORKS. We decided to go paperless at my office so I bought three of them for the office, and one for home. At first they were great, besides jamming occasionally and crumpling papers. It went a couple of days and now we CONSTANTLY have issues with all of them disconnecting from the wireless internet, not being able to find the computer, etc. I figured it was an issue with our router so I hard wired them each to a computer via USB and we are having the same issues. It was OK, now it doesn't work at all. It started out pretty good. Kind of expensive for the scan quality, but it's pretty portable for a scanner. When scanning multiple pages, I end up having to hold them in place and also place the scanner against a taller object so that the pages drop in more naturally. Otherwise, pages are misaligned and end up jamming. I never do more than 10pp at a time, but somehow it always ends up jamming, unless I do the aforementioned. I purchased in June 2014.
