Fast and allows you to pre-set buttons for one-touch scanning. I run a small youth sports non-profit organization. We have registration twice a year and we have to keep copies of documents for insurance purposes. We used to make photo copies. Aside from killing trees, this also meant we to store the hardcopy somewhere plus we have to physically file each page alphabetically. I tried using a regular all-in-one printer to scan the birth certificates but it was taking too long and we'd end up with a long line of parents waiting... read more
Two Stars Constant paper jams. Not thrilled
Okay Harder to use than described, not very user friendly. Not very good directions. Leaves too much up to you to figure out without documentation.
Windows 10 is a roadblock to this fairly new unit. I would consider alternatives. It does not work properly with Windows 10. Upon calling there support team I got nothing.. When I called HP the reacted to the problem immediately for the four products that I have of theirs.
Not that great It has separate card reader and can feed more pages at a time . Papers are getting Jamed more frequently . Not very happy with the product
does not connect to dropbox I have bought 2 of these units. the attractive description is that they can scan without being hooked up to computer directly to dropbox this worked relatively well (some problems with feeder, but for 1-3 page documents, even two sided, it worked well) for about six months. about one month ago (may 2016) , they stopped connecting to dropbox. Unstable Seemed good, and I purchased 2 units. I am not using both because of unstable connection, difficult to use, frequent jamming. One unit is completely out of order. This is another disappointing experience from brother products.
Great document scanner, but photo scan quality not good Great document scanner, but photo scan quality was awful at 600x600. Unfortunately I was trying to scan in thousands of photos.
Nice try, but nothing works quite as advertised. I gave this machine a good try, I really did, but getting it to do anything is like trying to explain tech over the phone to my parents. The LCD touch-screen interface is slow and clumsy, and you have to press harder and deliberately. The network setup is slow and difficult, and the terms it uses are weird – for instance instead of "wifi" it says "WLAN" which is technically true but nobody ever says that.
