Bragging about collecting rent in a time of crisis, and so many stories of poor upkeep of their rentals. Mold, leaky old piping, lead windows. What total slumlords.

Avoid doing business with if you can. Showed no remorse during a global pandemic. Shame on you.
Horrible upkeep of properties. If you’re a poor person looking to be subjected to lower quality of living for a ridiculous price then this is your rental company! Don’t expect any human decency from these monsters, they called a global pandemic a distraction and continued to collect rent from unemployed people. Demand better. Make them do better. I have been trying to contact these people in multiple ways since I moved out of the property that I rented that they took over. I have called and emailed and they still refuse to contact me. Poor business practice and customer service. Additionally, when notified of issues, refusal to fix problems that they were made aware of. I didn't terminate my lease early, but the refusal to address the things I reported days a lot about what they think of their tenants.
I worked for AFI for about a month. They did some really weird things upfront that I wasn’t comfortable with but I tried to keep and open mind. In the beginning, they advertised that training would be in Kansas City. Orientation was in Columbia which is 3 hours further than KC from where I live. Training was then in Topeka. They honestly didn’t know where I would train until I started, but they definitely could have communicated that. They don’t give you any notice about where you’re being placed.
