the experience has been thus far 5 X 5 ... however during my welcoming interview it was suggested that I might be offered a 'loan' to fulling fund my account ... I thought it strange that you would council me to never again allow my self to be saddled with a loan for over 24% interest would suggest that you would offer me a funding loan for over 24% interest ... that seems insane.
Unfortunately it is not working in my favor. My bill payment arrangements were twice per month and have been bi-weekly which has negatively impacted my financial situation due to my pay frequency. Also, the loan isn't realistic, looking into other options.
When I spoke with the rep, I explained that my utilities were not included in my consolidation, and I could not stop their ACH automatic payments prior to their company's initial withdrawal. I asked that my consolidation payments not start until November. She said she understood, and would see what she could do. She put me on hold, then came back a bit later and said that I would be charged $49 for October and I could start regular ACH withdrawals in November. That did not happen. You have to go through a lot to get what they want done. I wasn't comfortable with the way they were only going to pay half of everything. But when I understood what they were doing and didn't feel comfortable with it, they cancelled with me rather easily.
It is hard to review a company that seems very slow to help with my debt. It has been three months since I signed up and paid the agreed-upon amount each month. Americor was supposed to have settled with one of my credit card banks, but I continue to get demand notices from them. My credit has almost hit rock bottom, continue to get reminders that I am late with my payments. No indication that Americor has contacted them to settle.
I canceled the service and yet my account was charged and I had to pay 35 for a stop payment. Very poor service. I tried to chat and no one was available and no one returned my call but when it came to signing me up for business, I was being spammed with calls.
Sent me to bank to take loan out to pay off debt faster the bank they sent me to approved me and then a month and a half later they denied me.
The only gripe I have is that when I tried to cancel, I was disregarded (put on hold for 40 plus minutes, no response to emailed cancellation). If I were in a diff condition, I'd use them.
