Staff is friendly and upfront with costs associated with the visit upon request. We bring our dog here for her yearly check ups and the dr and staff are so caring! The wait is long sometimes even with appointment so be prepared to wait a little bit. For appointments with vet technicians, I noticed that the wait time is better. I would recommend getting a vet technician visit if your dog just needs shots since it will be a lower cost than a general wellness visit. Our dog had her first litter of five on Thursday and it made for quite an exciting but stressful day. Friday morning we noticed that one of our pups was struggling to breathe and had a distended belly. We brought her in to ACH and they immediately made us feel like she was first priority despite clearly having a full appointment list. Kristine, our nurse, communicated every step of the way. We love our neighborhood vet! They always make time for Panda and are very flexible, understanding, and kind. When we moved here most vets had 6mo waiting periods but they met panda that week. The hours are great (open more often and later than most places that do the typical 9-5. We wish we didn't have so much experience needing care right away but they have taken good care of us whenever we needed.

The staff that cared for us and cat Emily (Christine, Jordyn, Jordan, Dr Nakamura) we wonderful compassionate and supportive while we made the decision to let our 18+ year kitty Emily cross the rainbow bridge. We are new residents of Contra Costa county and have not found a local vet. They got us an immediate appointment on Sunday and cared for all 3 of us like we had been coming there for years. The care here is good but appointments will keep you in their office FOREVER. About 2 hours for a quick evaluation and vaccine. Who does that? It's so terribly stressful for my poor dog. Sadly, as this has happened twice now I don't anticipate returning.

Wonderful, wonderful folks. Last weekend, our elderly cat needed emergency attention before we could get her in to see our regular vet. Jordyn, Christine, Dr. Nakamura, and the entire staff is remarkable. Compassion, expertise, and amazing positive energy flow generously. We are very grateful and I recommend ACH without hesitation.
