WELCOME TO AVON ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY Our practice in Avon, Indiana was founded in 1976. Dr. Robert McDonough joined the practice in 1989, Dr. Kevin Stockton in 1996, Dr. Gabriel Hostalet in 2005, and Dr. Jared Shelton in 2017. The owner moved the practice from downtown Indianapolis to Avon in 1981. Our Oral Surgery building is a state-of-the-art facility with seven surgical suites, a recovery room, and three consultation rooms.

This office is very well staffed and runs efficiently. I was able to get an appointment and time that worked for us in less than a week! The staff was courteous and very professional. The doctor was also kind, professional and my daughter’s oral surgery was quick, painless and she is having a wonderful recovery. 100% recommend! FIVE stars!!
I had an implant placed under local anaesthetic. Dr. McDonough and the team were very reassuring and spoke to me throughout the entire procedure to let me know what was happening. Bonus points for not feeling anything during the procedure, not even pressure! I would highly recommend the practice to anyone in need of oral surgery.
My son had to have surgery, he is only 8. They were very calm and caring. They treated him so well, especially with how nervous he was. The surgery was very quick and less invasive than expected. Dr. Hostalet and staff were all amazing. He called to check on my son that night as well. Highly recommend them!
