WELCOME TO AVON ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY Our practice in Avon, Indiana was founded in 1976. Dr. Robert McDonough joined the practice in 1989, Dr. Kevin Stockton in 1996, Dr. Gabriel Hostalet in 2005, and Dr. Jared Shelton in 2017. The owner moved the practice from downtown Indianapolis to Avon in 1981. Our Oral Surgery building is a state-of-the-art facility with seven surgical suites, a recovery room, and three consultation rooms.

RecommendedMy husband was in excruciating pain from a broken molar... that is... until Dr. McDonough entered the scene. From IV to discharge, Bart was treated in the most caring manner. Everyone we encountered in the office was on top of their game; It's comforting to know a professional team is assembled at Avon Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and they are there when needed.
I had an extraction done, the process was great! The nurse walked me through every step that was going to happen and explained the things in such a way that put me at ease. The procedure was fast as and as relaxing as it could be. Dr was amazing and treated me with a lot of empathy. Best part of it all is that I Took some Tylenol before the procedure and every 6 hours after that day and never felt any pain! Yeah!!!
Everyone here was very patient and caring despite the anxiety that I had I felt very comfortable. Everything was explained to me and they allowed me to ask lots of questions before the procedure. The follow up in the recovery area was very calm and caring. I really appreciated. Follow up by the doctor the next day. I would recommend if you are experiencing anxiety about having any procedures done. This is the place to go.
I had one of the most difficult molars to get to removed by Dr. Hostalet. He was professional, knowledgeable, and kept me informed on what was happening with every step.No pain, no swelling 3 days ...

Dr. Hostalet is great! He has done oral work on both of my teens. Explains everything well and gives you time to ask questions. The staff is very kind and professional. Thanks to Dr. Hostalet’s great work and very thorough instructions given, we had zero problems with recovery for three separate cases. 100% recommend!
