WELCOME TO AVON ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY Our practice in Avon, Indiana was founded in 1976. Dr. Robert McDonough joined the practice in 1989, Dr. Kevin Stockton in 1996, Dr. Gabriel Hostalet in 2005, and Dr. Jared Shelton in 2017. The owner moved the practice from downtown Indianapolis to Avon in 1981. Our Oral Surgery building is a state-of-the-art facility with seven surgical suites, a recovery room, and three consultation rooms.

RecommendedThe staff was amazing with my daughter getting her wisdom teeth out! The doctor even called, personally, that evening to check on her!! WOW!
I had a cracked tooth to be extracted. Dr Kevin was very welcoming. I was in and out in a very short time. If I need to do this again; I will go back there.
This was my second time going in to have an extraction done. I felt very comfortable and at ease with them. The staff is super friendly and the doctor made sure I knew what was going on and also after the extractions were )both times) the doctor made sure I was doing good. It didn’t take as long as I thought it would. Both of my children had their wisdom teeth removed and they were awesome with them as well. Would definitely recommend them.
My 9 year old daughter had 4 baby teeth pulled today ( 08-16-22) she is not a fan of the dentist so we had came here by a referral so she could be sedated they had her done within 15-20 minutes and we was completely out within a half hour very pleased how they worked quickly and did such a good job with her would definitely recommend this was our first time here didn’t feel out of place or anything everything was good
They are a very organized office.
I guess oral surgery places are not as strict as doctor offices or hospitals. I’ve been a nurse for 24 years and have always been taught wash or alcohol hands before touching a patient. Wearing gloves when starting an IV, wiping the area with alcohol before starting the IV. They did none of that. I truly wanted to call them out, but my son was already so nervous I didn’t want to cause him undue harm. Very sad!
Dr Hostalet is the best! I’m not sure where I would be with my jaw situation if I had not started going to him. Very knowledgeable and caring! So thankful for this office!
Dr. Hostalet makes you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. He is quick and does a great job. I would recommend him to my family and friends in a second. Dental work can be scary and you want someone who makes you feel at ease and that’s what Dr Hostalet does!
