Updated review below on original review: I've been here each of the last two summers for lunch. Each time service was just okay and the food was about the same. We decided to give it another try the following summer to see if it had improved at all, but it hadn't. I've been to worse, but I've definitely been to better. Haven't been I'm big boys for along time ago. However this was the worse experience ever. Waitress who's name was Ozzie was slow as heck left are food in window forever. It was cold when it finally made it to table and she acted like it was a big inconvenience to bring are food. Then the other girl throw the pen across to my daughter who was right there so she could sign her receipt. Trouble experience. I advise not to eat there. Yuck would give it no stars if I could. Nasty
Stopped at 2:00 on a Saturday Afternoon looking for a salad bar. They still had a pathetic display of breakfast items still set up. The French toast was so dried up that, even soaked in syrup, couldn't be cut. The eggs were so dried out I had to wash them down and quit after a couple of forkfuls. The fruit was edible, although most was overripe and mushy or underripe and tasteless. The waitress never asked about drink refills or how our meals were. I haven't been to a Big Boy for more than 35 years. Too bad, it wasn't what I remembered. I received probably one of the worst hamburgers ever served in a restaurant. No thanks....and the "cool" fries didn't help the plate.
Went in to the bathroom to find a busboy using the toilet, only to leave without washing his hands. He then handled a lot of silverware. Rather disgusting. The wait time for food was also very extensive even though there were very few patrons. Will not return Upon eventual arrival the food was cold.
My husband and I ate dinner at the Gaylord Big Boy last night. I had my small service dog Lacey with me. Only our waitress knew she was with me. Our waitress was fantastic and the food was very good. As we were leaving people in the resteraunt were eating their meals and paying no attention to me or my service animal until a male waiter loudly started making comments over and over he couldn't believe those people brought a dog into the resteraunt. If you could post 0 stars I would have. We got our app and never was checked on. Boyfriend had one Pepsi but never got a refill. Ordered our meal and he got the wrong one. I finished my meal (which wasn't good at all but I was hungry) when we finally got the host to get our server to fix it we just asked for it to be taken off our bill after she argued with us. Horrible service. Didn't ask if we wanted drinks. Then brought us gross water. Showed up at 2pm for lunch. The buffet had no soup. No cold plates only hot ones for salad! No tongs for the salad. Condiments not labeled. I won't be coming back.
We had to wait 20 minutes for our meal. My onion rings were cold. My husband's burger wasnt warm at all. His fries were though. I got a slim jim. I have an allergie to lettuce, and told them that. I ate 1/2 of my sandwich and went to go eat the other 1/2, there was a piece of lettuce on it. I waited for 10 minutes for anita (our waitress) to come to the table. When i showed it to her.
