In 2017 I had upper blepharoplasty with a surgeon in NJ. I was not happy with the results. The left eye looked weird to me. I was told it was due to my right eyebrow being too low. So after botox didn't work, on his recommendation, I tried a right unilateral brow lift. That did not take care of the problem. This review is way overdue. Dr. Kotlus performed a lower blepharoplasty to remove my under eye bags almost 7 months ago. I had tried fillers for several years yet was never that happy with results and finally decided to proceed with surgery. I found Dr. Kotlus on Realself and based on others positive reviews booked a consultation. Dr. Kotlus performed a lower blepharoplasty to remove my eye bags and now I look refreshed! It took about 1 week for the bruising to go away and a few weeks for it to heal internally. He did an incredible job. He is the most meticulous, kind, patient doctor I have ever met. I highly recommend him!
My experience with Dr. Kotlus was excellent. I had an upper bleph and I’m super happy with the results. He listened to what I wanted and to my concerns which makes a big difference in delivering a high level of satisfaction. I have a hooded eye shape and wanted to keep it that way. It’s my first time having fillers and I was afraid of looking overfilled. Dr. Kotkus filled my under eye and folds. He also lifted my eyebrows with Botox. I was extremely happy with the look. I looked well rested. I was avoiding fillers as I was expecting it to be painful. I thought I might leave lobsided as I would not be able to take the pain. REALLY! I had no numbing cream and it was not painful at all. He also has a wonderful bedside manner. I will be returning.
Brett Kotlus is everything you want in a cosmetic practitioner. He is extremely skilled and knowledgable, effective yet conservative in his approach, won't sell you procedures you don't need, has a tastefully artistic eye, and is easy to talk to as a human being. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Dr. Kotlus is very skillful and experienced. He kept asking if I have any questions or doubt about the surgery.The surgery process and recovery went better than expected. Almost no problems at all other than administrative glitch during payment (my credit card was blocked for the whole duration of holiday due multiple payment attempts from same international merchant) and prescription pick up. So...I have had this excruciatingly sad journey of trying to fix the wrinkles/bags/crepiness under my eyes for a while now. In my prior post I discuss how I had restylane under my eyes for 9 years, had it dissolved, was mortified by the skin I was left with after, then stupidly had juvederm injected, then ended up having that dissolved too because it turned blue and puffy.
