I had multiple consultations with other doctors in New York and Los Angeles and Dr Kotlus was by far the most informative. Due to covid I had a Skype consultation and he answered my questions, suggested something that no one else mentioned regarding my eye, which set him apart from my other consults. I saw Dr. Kotlus yesterday for my surgical follow up. He said I’m healing really quickly and well. I had maybe 2 days of purple bruising, it’s all been faded yellow. I did take Bromelain 2x a day and Arnica 3x day starting 2 days before surgery. Had to gave up the Arnica 2 days post-op as it upset my stomach. I also was doing the cold gel pak compress every hour for10 minutes for 2 full day. Day 3 started warm compress. My left eye, which initially was totally bloodshot and irritated is about 85% better. Friendly, warm, knowledge, light-handed, and all-around nice guy. Very happy with his work. Having needles anywhere near your eyes is terrifying but he was reassuring and injected in a way that left no bruising. Oh, his staff is really kind, too!
I was so tired of looking tired. I did a LOT of research before choosing Dr. Kotlus and glad I did. "Spa" places and "clinics" were out - I wanted a licensed doctor who was trained - needles near your eyes aren't for pseudo professionals. Friendly, helpful staff. The appointment was 3mo away due to limited covid hours. Didn't regret it at all! Dr. Kotlus said it was reasonable to expect about a 50% improvement due to my personal situation. Perfection! Artistic, smart, kind, caring, not a factory, does not talk you into unnecessary procedures, personal, great front desk Marissa, amazing touch, doesn't hurt, cutting edge, fabulous hands. What an absolute pleasure to find such a gem in the sea of NYC doctors. For 2 decades I went to my beloved injector who now resides in heaven and have been looking for his replacement for years. Found him! Run don't walk to Dr. Kotlus. I know you will have the same experience my face did.
Would highly recommend to see Dr. Kotlus for any of your face concerns. This was my first time for botox and fillers and I'll definitely be going back! Dr. Kotlus has great bedside manner and he will recommend what he thinks will help without being pushy or over the top. He gives off a 'less is more' type of approach so I didn't feel like he was going to overdo anything. The office is very clean, the front desk people are very friendly, and the procedure itself was 15 min. and virtually painless.

I have had drooping eyelids forever and at 45 I figured it is only getting worse. After a lot of researchers and meeting with several doctors I chose Dr. Kotlus. It's been 100% the right choice.
