OUR WAITER THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAVE. BUT THE HOST AT THE END WAS THE ONE WHO HELPED US. THE FOOD GOOD. BREAKFAST OR BRUNCH
I made the reservation an hour ahead and was pleasantly surprised I was able to get my time. We were seated immediately in a table to our liking. That was good service. The remainder was not. It was close to 15 minutes before anybody came by to our table. Nobody even looked in our direction. The server said he was giving us time to look at the menu. Not that big, 2 minutes would have sufficed. Took our orders. I asked for large cranberry juice instead of orange juice, which was the exact same price and was told I would have ... read more
Immediate evacuation of my bowels immediately after eating a cheeseburger at this this diner.
Salt. Everything. I had a pastrami sandwich, it was like eating a salt lick. My husband had chicken soup, the chef must have dropped his salt shaker in it. My sister had split pea soup. Salted like crazy. I had noodle kugel, if not for the raisins in it it would have been tasteless. We asked our server four times for soda and mustard. Never got it. They pride themselves on big portions and that is accurate but I'd rather have a smaller portion that tastes good! For dessert we had chocolate chip cookies and cheesecake. Disapp... read more
Made a reservation for 11:30 and we were offered either breakfast or brunch. We chose breakfast since the host mentioned it would come out faster which we greatly appreciated given that we had a bus to catch at 12:45. He kindly stored our bags for us and seated us just before our reservation time. That was the best part of our visit. It went downhill pretty quickly when we sat without food for over 40 minutes!! The server had easily disappeared for at least 15 minutes and I finally had to say something to the manager. The ma... read more
Food good but ran out of specialtits at 5:30 PM such a disappointment for a NY eatery.
Extremely limited menu, people were complaining the pot pie sold out and it was only 5:30! They seated us directly behind the bar, which was extremely annoying. Food was good, but waiter didn't know much in-depth information like how something was prepared. They got my wife's order wrong and kept asking us uncomfortably if we wanted to take it back. Since we waited a long time, we weren't going to let my wife watch us eat. What was worse is that I had to listen to a bunch of crabby seniors complain about the pot pie being so... read more
FOOD WAS POOR. SERVICE HORRID. TOURISTY AND NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY.
We booked this Diner for breakfast and had a terrible experience. First of all we checked and after waiting 30 minutes were still waiting at the bar along with 20 other people. Upon enquiring how much longer the booking system showed that the person who checked us in and done it incorrectly and they didn't know we were there. 9which was quite funny as this was the manager)They did seat us quickly after this but we waited a further 20 mins to be waited on and to be informed that they had run out of all types of pancakes and F... read more
