had not been here in quite awhile and it was a very good experience. had never tried but heard about the chicken soup and it lived up to its reputation per Gail Greene. will return sooner than later next time.

We often go to Brooklyn Diner before a Carnegie Hall performance, as it is one of only a few reasonably priced restaurants in the neighborhood. The service is always excellent. The food is usually quite good. This time, however, the food was fair at best. Their signature dish is chicken pot pie. In the past it has been very good. This time the chicken was tough and the pastry was floury. The burger also was less good than usual.

Another excellent dining experience at Brooklyn Diner. It’s always cozy and inviting on a cold and snowy January night. Service was fast but not rushed. I had the cod tacos - a generous portion of 3 tacos stuffed with cod and slaw. Delicious! My husband enjoyed the salmon teriyaki. We finished with an 8” chocolate chip cookie which was the size of a plate and absolutely heavenly.

great ambiance with classic jazz music playing while customers happily chatted away, service was VERY fast and orange juice was tasty. staff is very professional and efficient, will definitely come back again

We were meeting some friends who were on their way to the opera, and appreciated the prompt service. I had the Reuben, which was delicious. The pastrami practically melts in your mouth. The only disappointment was that they were out of the chicken pot pie. We'll have to come back for that.

Spectacular job from everyone at Brooklyn Diner! We came for breakfast, and had cappuccinos, espresso, and a fantastic breakfast! I ordered the Egg White Vernon Brown omelette, great flavor, and also had the everything bagel. My husband did the classic eggs Benedict and added the homemade sausage. Side Note: highly recommend ordering the Homemade Biscuit with homemade strawberry jam. Stopped by today as well and finally got a lovely end of of our trip with it.
