We started our day at the Brooklyn Diner near Central Park. It started with amazing service, continued with delicious food, and ended with a reasonable bill. I gladly recommend this eatery to all visitors.

I’m almost always solo but they treat me like a queen. I feel so comfortable there. The food is always good (sometimes the chicken soup is too salty but this is a problem in a lot of places). My go-to before Carnegie Hall.

Genevieve greeted us like we were old friends, the waiter was able to get me a chicken pot pie and my glass of sauvignon blanc was great. What could be better?

So many quintessential diner choices -- and we’ve tried just about all of them. Our favorites are the incredibly thick buttermilk pancakes and the pastrami hash with sunnyside eggs. Coming in from the cold, there’s always a warm welcome and a fantastic staff.

With a reservation we were seated immediately. Place is always packed so service is a bit slow. If you have an event to attend just be sure to give yourself plenty of time for the meal. Meals are always delicious.
