Terrific service excellent food wonderful New York atmosphere
The hostess was so sweet. She knew almost everyone who walked in the door. And if she didn’t know you, she made you feel welcome. The food was delicious and very fast!
The hostess who greeted us was most gracious and welcoming. She went out of her way to make us feel at home, she was 90% of our positive experience. Food was good, exactly what you'd expect from a diner. The room is crowded as to be expected in a popular diner, noise level is a little high. Great brunch place in NYC.

The food was just okay and way overpriced for what it was.
We eat at Brooklyn Diner occasionally before a Carnegie Hall concert because it's one of the less expensive options in the neighborhood. Consistently good burgers and chicken pot pie. The service is always very good. They went through a period of cleanliness issues - sticky tables, dirty silverware. They seem to have fixed these issues. Beware the noise. It fills up very quickly, and gets very loud.
Even as- first-time customer you feel at home the Brooklyn Diner. The female receptionists is outstanding and makes you feel appreciated and welcome. The service is excellent, the menu offers a broad variety of American, Mexican and contemporary vegetarian dishes - it is like a high-quality food court in small. The ambience reminds the customer of the good old fifties in America and creates really good vibes. We visited the diner today as a family of four and were really thrilled by the kindness and the wonderful atmosphere.... read more
