Tony Bennett French Toast was fabulous as always! I ate some of it since I couldn’t eat much of my order. The pastrami hash was a real disappointment. Practically burnt, very tough to chew. English muffin came dry with no butter or jam. Breakfast potatoes were mediocre. For being a diner specialty it did not live up to expectations. Felt like we got the dregs. However service was great and host is always very gracious. Decorated beautifully for the holidays and had a jovial atmosphere.
Convenient but noisy. And the whitefish bagel should’ve described itself as whitefish spread. Very pricey for a spread. Tables for 2 are tiny. Peak noise at 10 AM. Breakfast menu is not particularly broad.
Lovely place. Make a reservation. English muffins were hard as hockey pucks however
We have previously visited the diner on many times on visits to New York we had high expectations, unfortunately on this occasion we were left very disappointed. The food wasn’t great and service was just ok, which all resulted in an overpriced experience.
Everything a diner should be: it looks like a diner, inside and out. The staff is friendly but very busy and efficient. The menu has everything you would want to eat from salads, burgers, appetizers, taco (great codfish taco!), sandwiches, breakfast fare and too many tempting deserts and a bar. What more could you want? The prices are higher than places on the backroads of Pennsylvania, but this is Midtown Manhattan.
This is a perfect NYC diner experience. Made reservations for breakfast. We had the Cinnamon French toast and pastrami hash. Both - excellent. Love the vibe. All the wait staff and managers were so friendly and hard working.
Wait staff are seasoned professions and fun. The host warmly greeted upon our arrival. French toast and Avacado toast dishes were excellent. We always include the Brooklyn Dinner in our visits to NYC.
Frühstück mal wieder sensationell gut! Atmosphäre wie ich mir das vorgestellt habe! Einfach richtig schön!
Excellent food. Crowded as always but service was very good
