We chose CareOne at Hamilton because it is a nice facility, clean and organized, the location is convenient for family, and also it carries multiple levels of care so it could be the start and finish. The room sizes at the facility are adequate for what her needs are. My best advice to anyone looking into this facility is manage the expectation of what your loved one ones and make sure to tell them. I would recommend them to others who are looking.
I was not very impressed when I toured CareOne. When I walked in it was very loud and they had popular music from today blaring so that turned me off.
Make sure you are involved with your loved one care. The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was good and I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
We chose Harmony Village at the time because they were remodeling one of the floors so I was able to go and see, other tours would have been virtual. I also liked that everything is one price and I know what I will pay every month. The room sizes here are average compared to others, the bathroom is actually pretty roomy though. We are having a little bit of trouble with the billing department which has been frustrating. We first toured virtually, and it is a newer facility so what we were able to see it was clean and seemed modern. Over the phone when we have spoke with the staff members they have all been very pleasant and cooperative, it has been a good experience so far. The thing we thought was really good about Harmony Village is it is a memory care only community and small, so it seemed like it would be a good place for someone who needs those supportive services. The staff asked a lot of questions and was willing to try things and circle back, and try more things and circle back again So we really appreciated that. They were great at communicating with us through Covid restrictions, mostly over the phone. And I would recommend them to others.
My mother was a resident at Careone ALF for 6 years. She had dementia and passed away [date removed]. From day one, my mother was treated with nothing but respect and dignity. The whole staff was wonderful. When you walked through door , you felt like family. Careone has always gone out of there way to make you feel like you part of their community. I highly recommend this facility . The deserve a 1000 stars for all the work they have to do with our family members.
My father is now fully vaccinated. They have done the best they can with covid and have made sure that all of his needs are taken care of and they are keeping the residents active. They are very good with communication by video chats, emails, newsletters and are always available if I need them. My dad has had no complaints about the food. The staff is very caring and they really listen to the families. Communication is very good with the families also. I would definitely recommend this community to others and I already have. They are open to feedback and are looking for ways to improve.
