We took our 7-week old puppy in for her first examination with Dr. Richards. The pup was treated very attentively and tenderly by all the staff. Dr. Richards did a great job of talking to us, asking us questions and answering our questions as well. She was very kind to us as well as the pup and we never felt rushed at all. We look forward to continuing with Caring Hands.

Best vet in the area, hands down! Dr. Richards was great with my dog, who gets very anxious at the vet. She also was careful to explain everything to me and treated both me (and my poor sick puppy) with care and respect. Great place!

I moved to the area three years ago and struggled to find a vet. I found the perfect vet with Caring Hands. The customer service is above and beyond. After all, it's about the pet but the staff knows how to speak to the human too! Recently I've been several times because my cat has eye infection, and I can't thank the staff enough for holding my hand and reassuring me! Dr Richards and Dr Murphy as well as the staff is top notch!

Dr. Richards is BEYOND wonderful. We were patient's at a former practice where she cared for my terminally ill cat. She went out of her way to find treatment options for us, researching the latest veterinary literature and calling me almost daily to check on us. I can't say enough about how much I trust and respect her. Her passion for her job and her patients is so sincere. Not only does she have an amazing bedside manner, but she is so knowledgeable. Caring Hands has been my go-to place for my older cat. When our younger kitty had developed a serious health problem we called them. We were lucky that the Merrifield location could see us on such short notice on a Sunday. Dr. Richards was very caring towards our very sick kitty. She was just as compassionate in discussing diagnosis and treatment options with us. Picture your favorite hotel and the amazing customer service they offered you from the time you arrived to the time you departed. Oh-my-gosh this animal hospital is quite possibly the best animal hospital I have experienced, in my 20+ years of pet ownership/parentship!!! The hospital was recommended to me by a friend and fellow pet parent, and I am so glad she did and sooooo glad my 3 cats are now under their care. :) The level of care is exceptional. :) The staff is super friendly and super helpful which is quite a contrast from other animal hospitals in the area. I called on a Saturday morning to put down my cat who is a patient and I was told there was no room in the schedule for the whole entire rest of the day and they asked me if I could bring in my dieing cat on Monday instead because they were full and closed on Sunday. When I sobbingly said he collapsed and didn't have till Monday, as he was actively dieing. I was told to call an emergency vet and there was nothing they could do to help me.
