We visited the Champion showroom and spoke with the salesman, Scott about our needs. He set up a time to meet with us at our home, arrived promptly and stayed for approximately 2.5 hours talking through all the details and providing a quote. Although he was very insistent that we sign a contract right away and even tried to persuade us with "limited time" offer scare tactics, we had an appointment with another [Angie's List] vendor a couple of days later. After two more (lengthy) meetings with the Champion salesman and vario... read more

Still not complete!
Replacement was expected in early/mid June 2015. It took 6 weeks for a replacement window to be ordered and manufactured.
On the first scheduled date, they broke the replacement in transit. Another window had to be ordered. Today, 6 weeks later, replacement #2 comes and it's the wrong size. Mind you this was a replacement to a champion window that was already installed at the house.
So in 6 weeks I'll know whether they manage to pull this off or not.
I'll certainly never buy wi... read more

Very poor initial installation of windows by Champion. They damaged our walls during installation, which have yet to be completely fixed. Sub contractors were going to leave damaged wood in frame until we demanded the damaged wood to be replaced before window was installed (despite we requested & confirmed all damaged wood around windows would be replaced at time of purchase). The sub contractors actually asked us to see the contract where that was written! Outside gaps including holes in the siding created by installation h... read more

We asked the provider for a quote for replacement of a sliding glass patio door and changing an existing large window to a bay window with a seat. The salesperson came and did an excessively long presentation about his windows, including the history of the company and a heat lamp test. He gave values that no other company uses anymore and so are not comparable across companies. When I got other companies' valid numbers, I emailed him and he grudgingly provided them. He took a lot of time to finally measure and give a quote. ... read more

I had fixed up an appointment on a weekday for an estimate. The salesperson visited our place, looked at the requirement and wasn't able to give us a quote because he said there were so many options. After we promised not to hold him to it, he estimated $2000 -$3500 for the kind of job we were looking for. Honestly, this first visit was a waste of our time and the salesperson's time because he suggested anyway that we visit the factory on Champion Way on the following Sunday. Even though the factory is some distance away fro... read more

We had them come back out as the new windows had the same amount of condensation. At this time they informed us that the condensation was not because of the windows, but an issue with our house. If we had known this from the beginning we would not have replaced all our windows.

We had a salesman come to the house for an estimate on Tuesday. He measured windows and talked for about 30 min. Then on his way. Told us to meet at the champion store on Saturday at 1pm. An hour before called and said another salesman would take care of us. We arrived nobody knew we were coming and the new salesman had no idea for our measurements. He called the original salesman, no answer. So we got an estimate between $8000 and $16,0000 seriously!??! I could have came up with that number! This is VERY POOR service! I am ... read more

I would say they did not do the installation very well. Their product seems to be okay, but if you want cheap doors or windows go with them. They did respond to our concerns, but their response was no better than the original. I believe they met the schedule they said they would. I don't think their installers knew what they were doing.

There were problems with the installation in that they forgot to put a peep hole in our door and had to come back to redo that. Also during the installation the installer broke off a piece of our wall and had to re plaster the large hole that was left. This means that our wall has to be repainted when we sell our house. In addition we were going to have our windows replaced but when they came back with the estimate we were told that our windows could not be replaced the way we were promised -- and they would have to block ou... read more
