Finding a gym without attitude from the staff and clients- a welcome relief. We had been members at LA Fitness, and the staff either wants more cash from you or are uninterested in helping you. What a change at Chuze, where staff treat you well, and not only that, they actually clean up every hour on the hour. The place is spotless, and does not have a gym smell; rather, clean and fresh is how I would describe Chuze La Mesa. Automatic 5 stars for -cleanliness (cleanest gym I've ever been too) the staff is constantly sanitizing all the equipment -friendly staff -variety of equipment -how cheap it is every month --no hidden fees You either pay 10 a month for the gym or 20 which Includes classes, tanning, &the awesome hydro massage -cycling room Love everything about this location just wish they were open later and had a sauna and steam room but they do at some other locations like Mission Valley
Very difficult to explain, but very easy to enjoy. I've been coming to this location since it opened. I enjoy doing the classes, and getting a great workout. Although most of the instructors I got to know are gone now, but I enjoy the new ones that take over their former time slots. No regrets, and no excuses.

This is the first gym I've ever liked enough to join - and I go all the time! I started going as my boyfriend's guest, and noticed it was way different than the other places I'd seen. There walls aren't lined with mirrors (a big plus anywhere there is flourescent lighting), there are plenty of fun machines like elliptical, stairs, and rowing, and a pretty small freeweight area, resulting in fewer bros. Consistently a great experience! The staff always says hi and smiles...what a novel concept. It's a great atmosphere. Last gym I worked out at felt like everyone was angry at the world, so it is so refreshing to have the positive energy every time I work out now. Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference!

My husband and I have recently joined this gym and are rookies at different work outs. We love this gym it's very open concept, many machines to work specific areas, great staff, very hygienic, the list goes on. The staff always acknowledges people and never leaves anyone ignored. The people that work out here have been nothing but positive to us, they would critique our body movement or show us new tricks in a super positive way! Just a friendly PSA make sure you do NOT leaving items in your locker locked overnight. The cleaning staff is instructed to cut the lock and put items in the lost in found when you leave your lock on the locker more than 2 days. I kind of would have though that a sign might have been posted let me know this.

I like this gym. The staff are very friendly, the place is really clean and the spacing between the machines is adequate. I used to belong to another gym, and I hated it because it was full of DB's and half the equipment had "out of order" signs..I actually quit working out...period; I thought all gyms were poorly run and crowded. Not this place! I can get in on the equipment I want and, suprisingly, the people working out here wipe down the equipment/benches after use...(I watch)...and are really polite. I used to workout at the Santee location, but since we moved, this location is much closer. It has an interesting layout where everything seems kind of compartmentalized. There seems to be more equipment at this location than the Santee location, but it feels tight. You almost feel like you can turn around and hit a machine or another person... Other than the tight issue, it is fine. I like coming in and not being hassled by anyone.
