Had a great experience with Mervis and definitely wanted to share. I went ring shopping in February/March, proposed in April and got married a year later in July. Worst experience ever! We came originally from hearing positive reviews of other locations but were unfortunately greeted by manager Maria Kamali was so rude and condescending to me and my partner! I shouldn't have been surprised when we walked in she was yelling at the very kind front desk girl. Maria Kamali was frustrated that I didn't know exactly what type of ring I wanted and was yelling at us whenever we asked a question about stone size, styles, and the band. Bought my engagement ring (.76 carat princess cut) set in a diamond channel platinum setting in 1998. Received a GIA report with diamond stating it is a perfect square, no pits or gouges and SI1. Six years later (2004) the corner prong cracked off. I went back to Mervis to have the mount repaired (total cost $350.00). I have to say this was a totally different jewelry purchase I have ever experienced and Mervis sets the bar very high. This is not a jewelry store in the mall or one that says high end and has so many cases and choices it's overwhelming.
