Maria made my engagement ring buying experience incredibly seamless. I knew almost nothing about rings, diamonds cuts or my fiancée's ring size. She gave me great options and kept me within my budget. During a followup sizing/appraisal appointment with Maria, she provided my fiancée with great advice to determine if we needed to resize or not. I went to a few other boutique jewels in DC prior to arriving at Mervis and did not get the quality of service Maria and Mervis provided.

I made an appointment for Mervis and arrived a few minutes early, as an professional or business minded person would. The sales associates were busy so I browsed until my scheduled time. My appointment time came and left, and I still had not been helped. There was one other couple in the store being helped and eventually a male came in and began chatting it up with whom I presume to be a manager there. What a great shopping experience this was! My husband and I walked in, no appointment, which thankfully wasn't an issue as we were helped by Elizabeth. They do specialize in engagement rings but we were interested in diamond earrings. Elizabeth asked a number of questions and ultimately we began reviewing diamonds that she suggested. I was very happy with my experience at Mervis Diamond in Rockville. I was shopping for an engagement ring for my (now) fiancé, but I wasn't sure where to start. Went here today with my girlfriend (soon to be fiancé) without an appointment. As a walk-in towards the end of the day, we had no expectations whatsoever to do anything more than browse. One associate, Sara A., came to assist us immediately. Not only did we not feel pressured in the slightest to buy, but she listened to us so completely. Always a great experience. The staff treats everyone equally and respectfully. Me and my fiancée came back for our wedding bands. As a masculine of center woman in the LGBTQ+ they did not bat an eye when I requested a masculine band. That is the type of service I expect from all businesses.

Had a great experience buying my first diamonds here. Kris was very knowledgeable, personable and honest, I cannot recommend him enough. I got a beautiful pair of earrings for my girlfriend. My first stop will be to Mervis for my next diamond purchase!
