The main thing I appreciated about The Cottages when I was looking for a place for my sister, was they evaluate and treat each potential resident on an individual basis. Other facilities have cookie cutter criteria. Everyone is lumped into the same level based on their test scores. No regard for the things they can do. Everything was based on what they can't do. Great caregivers! Management is doing a superb job. Could have my sister in law in assisted living and brother in law in memory care at the same facility!

Good overall. The medical staff is great. I'm not happy someone stole my mom's winter jacket. It's a decent room size with a nice size bathroom. Mom thinks she likes the food.

My mother helped choose The Cottages. She liked it because it felt like a little community rather than other facilities that were tall impersonal buildings. We were mostly happy with her care the short time she was there.

The staff have been good and attentive. They don't communicate with us as much as some other places, but they have resolved any issues or questions that we've had. The food selection and options are only mediocre. They don't always bring the food that my parents have selected from their menu.

The Cottages in Fox Lake are outstanding, the people that work there are amazing. The definitely care about patients they take care of. Can't say enough about them.

They are attentive and understanding of my mother's changing needs. Everyone including director, business manager, nurses, caregivers have been open to my questions, comments, and requests. The facility is clean and well maintained. She is well cared for and comfortable.

I like the smaller cottage home feel. Especially for the Memory Care buildings. It feels more like a home, and not a large apartment like setting. There are always activities and outings available to keep the residents involved and the staff gets to know the residents & work with them closely.

We were attracted to them because of the availability, price, and when I spoke with them they were so informative and helpful. Will absolutely recommend. It's a great place and we feel safe with him there.
