Everyone that works at The Cottages always say Hi to you from the head person, chef, activities directors and care givers nurses too! Of all the places we checked for our Mom The Cottages memory care is great. They help and watch out for all residents needs. If you have questions they get answers for you from the doctor nurses and the rest of the staff. Activities are great always have a lot of fun. Thank you to all of the staff.

If there was a most-improved award in the care industry for adults with dementia, this place should get it. Charter's team has come in and increased staffing and the people they've brought in work together in special ways. Their flexibility and focus on the residents is top drawer. A gerontologist comes by regularly to check on residents and the care staff actively seeks out special advice on the wants and needs of their charges. Some communication lapses at first. I was not told that they would not follow the plan for my husband's insulin administration. I was very clear with everyone about what the regimen was. Not once did anyone tell me they would not count carbs for his sliding scale insulin. They sought instruction from the house Dr. and our Dr. A new plan was made and he is doing well now. Since I work, I had hoped to find a memory care residence for my mom that was close to work and home. I toured a few, and decided to place mom at "The Cottages, which is very close to both! The management now is superb, and I couldn't be happier! EVERYONE is on board providing excellent care, communication with families, and there is an abundance of activities and adventures for ALL of the residents; mom is thriving! Very good overall experience. Everyone has been kind to both my mom and the family. The cleanliness has never be an issue and everyone is friendly. There have been a couple of times that I could not find a caregiver or any staff, used the button and it was a slow response. Wasn't an emergency and they likely were busy but concerned me if it had been an emergency... Mom is eating and seems to like it. We would like to see more stimulation and variety. Toured with [name removed] . She was great. Cottages are in good condition and accommodating. Was able to negotiate on price. This place checked all of the boxes in terms of care. Meal plans. Works with budget. Medication management

I can't say enough good things about The Cottages! From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt the warmth and care that makes this place truly special. The community is very pleasant, the grounds are beautiful it’s like having your own yard. The community is well kept and clean. Food is least to be desired. Laundry is always taken care of on time. If something is wrong maintenance director takes care of issues promptly.

Staff is great, the surroundings are great. The only thing I wouldn’t give 5 stars to is the food. The food is more institutional but it will not get any better no matter what facility you choose in senior living.
