TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Finally tried Dave's Chicken staff was nice and had good customer service. The food was okay not a big fan. Seasoning is too strong and salty not my style on the chicken and fries. Seasoning taste similar to taco seasoning. Maybe next time I will try it plain no spices.

I've been to another branch before, which tasted pretty similar to this one, so the 3 stars are about all of Dave's chicken rather than just this branch. Overall, I find the chicken way too salty for my liking. The chicken is juicy and tender, and the flavors are good (I usually get Hot), but it's so salty to the point that even the bread that they give you with the tenders isn't much help to offset it.
