TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Staff was pleasant. Great you when you walk in. Young lady at the register was nice and offered to explain the menu to me being it was my first time in the restaurant. Food came out hot and fast. Would 100% recommend
I am a white-meat-hating machine, and a lover of Popeyes and dark meat. So when I saw Dave's Hot Chicken come up, I could only think "why would I go here for boneless tenders instead of the Pops 20 feet away for bone in thighs?" It was a good place for quick and tasty meal. The taste was amazing with quick service and nice combos
In the very crowded very competitive Field of chicken sandwiches lately this one from Dave's definitely nail the equation of Money to value/quality . Very good sandwich and hot (grade) is definitely enough at the spiciness grade (though I will try the extra next time...:) Good fries . Nice clean space with great service.
After hearing that people go feral for this in California, I had to try and it did not disappoint, the tenders were juicy and well seasoned, the slaw, bread sauce were all on point. NYC doesn't really have a lot of good staple tender spots, even the ones that are really hyped are really bad *cough* Stickies *cough*, but I think Dave's is turning the tide.
I had a great experience ordering and picking up food from here. When this spot first opened the line was continually out the door. I finally managed to come on a day without a line. When walking in to order I was welcomed with an upbeat greeting by Tiffany who took my order. I wasn't sure what to order and she made some suggestions so I ended up getting the slider tender meal with fries. She also only handled taking the orders and other people filled the orders. It caught my attention. The line moves fast and the food comes quick. Very respectfully. Only 3 Combo options with various sides.
Great Food and great atmosphere. Heard lots of great things about this place so I decided to stop by and I definitely did not regret it.
