TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

This is the best hot chicken in NYC. I got my chicken tenders "hot" on the spice meter and was not disappointed - it was spicy in the right ways, had a great crunch and the tenders were huge in portion size. The Dave's sauce is a great relief for the spice on the chicken, and the fries were fresh as well. You know it's a good piece of fried chicken when the chicken sits on pieces of bread and there is 0 grease on the bread once i pick the chicken up to eat. Tender juicy and great flavor. I was lucky there wasn't a long line. Service was fast.
Excellent food! I've been having lunch here with my coworkers at least once a week ever since they opened. The chicken sliders are uniquely seasoned and is just delicious. It is different from the typical chicken sandwiches offered at all the other fast food restaurants. I love coleslaw, and the kale coleslaw that they have here is very good. It's such a good compliment to the chicken. Great food and friendly service. There is nothing more I can ask for, highly recommended!
Food (4/5): Chicken strips and fries were delicious and well made. Venue (3/5): For how busy it is, the venue is quite small and is sparsely decorated. However, it gets the job done. Service (4/5): Whilst they could be more friendly, food came out reasonably fast and people were helpful.

I just ordered and tried Dave's for the first time. I purchased the medium #3 (slider, tender, fries) and it was ok.. nothing to rave about, but nice to finally try it since I've heard about it a lot. The slider is definitely a sandwich, not a slider, so be prepared to have a full on sandwich - which is great for the price. The tender itself is a good size. I finally gave in to the temptations and ordered take out from Dave's Hot Chicken. I went on line to check out the menu and was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity of the menu which offers 3 main entrees. I was further pleased to see that what they refer to as a slider could easily be called a sandwich. This place is a simple, decently priced, quick and ready. No drama, I had the mild spice on it and it was plenty spicy along with the fries. The sauce is great as well. They will give u an extra packet of Dave's sauce for no additional charge. Like I said, no drama.
Dave's finally opened in NYC and it is halal as well. There are only three options- 2 sandwiches, 2 tenders, or 1 sandwich and 1 tender. The chicken here comes in different levels of heat and trust me when I say that the reaper is very spicy. The location is clean but very small, and very busy. The wild thing is that these pictures look fake but the food legit looks unreal . The food is beautiful and delicious.
