Wow. Dave's hot chicken is indeed HOT. I stopped by around 7:30pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was packed. Based on other reviews saying Hot was not Spicy enough, I ordered the extra hot Dave's #3 Combo with 1 Tender, 1 Slider and Fries. Unfortunately, I regretted that decision as I was eating my slider because it was extremely spicy. I have always enjoyed spicy foods but this was so spicy that it was not enjoyable. This was my first time at this Dave's Hot Chicken. It was a Saturday at noon. I had planned on eating a salad somewhere else until those plans were horribly trashed. I orderd Dave's #3 which included 1 tender, 1 slider, bread, pickles and fries wih my selection of HOT preparation. Since there are six degrees of spices to choose from, there is no finished product sitting and ready to go. I enjoyed my meal while listening to Nena's 99 Luft Balloons and watching people wait. Likely an unpopular opinion, this is a stretch to 3.5, rounding down The Hells Kitchen location is on bustling 8th Ave, so you get all the glory of tourists, trash and more as you walk to this spot. It's a mid-sized restaurant with maybe seating for 20 or so and some counter space. I opted to leave bc it was a hot spring day and too stuffy for me. Me and my roommate ordered this at 9 o'clock at night. We were expecting mac & cheese and good tasting chicken. However, the chicken was bad quality. In addition, the sauce was spice and no attention to flavor. The mac & cheese was ruined by the sauce, and the fries were soggy. It ruined our night. That's a little dramatic, but it definitely ruined the meal.

I made it clear to the cashier that I am a vegetarian, and it was my first visit. Despite this, there was a misunderstanding with my order and was given a chicken slider instead of a cauliflower slider. Additionally, when I reached out to address the issue, Jorge contacted me. He made it seem like it was my fault that I got charged for a chicken sandwich. I did get a refund but being that I'm a vegetarian for health and religious reasons I felt his response lacked empathy and was very condescending.

Husband went to the one located on third Avenue in New York. He ordered and wait a while. He sees an order sitting in the area they put the food and ask the guy Is that my order? The worker then asks my husband to let him see the receipt, so my husband gives him the receipt says yes and walks away and started to take of the order customers there and didn't say a word. I placed an online order for scheduled pick up of 20 mini sliders the night before. When I arrived, they put my order on the counter 2-3 minutes later than the scheduled time. No big deal. I (and 2-3 other customers) then had to stand and wait for around 10 minutes while the two cashiers/employees working the front fiddled with something I can only hope was very important on one of their phones.
