Its ok I guess but I don't get the hype and wouldn't go back. Hot is pretty damn hot (i think i'm ok at handling heat but know others that are better), medium was good for a spice level for me. The thing I HATED though is there has to be cumin in the spice blend because it had that nasty B.O. smell and a hint of that liking a armpit flavor as well. Dave's Hot Chicken just opened up in the Tri-Valley about a month ago. I heard about the lines so I waited. Located in the Safeway shopping center at the corner of Tassajara and Dublin Blvd. the restaurant has seating indoors and outdoors. I went at 2:30 pm and there was still a short line. I wasn't sure how good this place was going to be. I though it was going to be like a kfc or raising canes, BUT ITS WAYYYYY BETTER!!! It's so GOOOOOD!! Highly recommend ! AL

Solid chicken sandwich here! Came here before seeing a film in the area as it was my first time. Went with the #4 and subbed the fires for a Mac n cheese. The sandwich was delicious. It hit all the right spots with the flavor and was nice and crispy. Mac n cheese was solid too. The staff was very friendly and seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. Space isn't too big, but it was clean and the area was nice. Definitely will try this spot again if I'm in the area!

3.5 rounded up to 4. It could be because we ordered for pickup and so by the time it brought into the house the fries were soggy and the chicken wasn't crispy. I don't know if it's me but I was super impress with the chicken from here. It just taste like your average fried chicken. I don't typically like spicy chicken so I got the no spicy version and for someone who doesn't like spicy at all it wasn't bad but there was some spicy. Tried Dave's for the first time today. There are a lot of options when you order...cheese or no cheese, slaw on the sandwich or no slaw, 7 options for what sauce you want - from no sauce, up to "reaper." Adrian, the gentleman at the counter, was incredibly cheerful and helpful. Food came out fast and as you can see there's a lot of it. Woman who gave it to us offered more sauce, honey or ketchup. I've been a big fan of Dave's Hot Chicken since they only had a couple of locations in LA. Now, they're all over the Bay Area and this is their newest location. Since this is located in a plaza with Safeway and lots of other restaurants, parking is super easy. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and was able to find a space right up front.
