TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Hot Nashville chicken served on a slice of bread...yummy! I got the spicy flavor and it was so so good. I like that they are open late so when your on your way home late you can fulfill your craving for some better food than burgers. I like the art in walls in this place.
The first thing you notice is the colorful ambiance. The space is mid size but they do have outdoor tables which is a plus. We ordered their mild 2 sliders meal and their lite mild 2 piece tenders meal. The sliders are okay, if they had more coleslaw it would have made them better. The strips were a big miss, too much dry rub on the outside of the strips. My son didn't like the over seasoned tenders so we asked if they could be changed for plain and they did without hesitation. Dave's hot chicken lives up to the hype! The seasoning is very flavorful and the coleslaw is very different and I'm not even a fan coleslaw but it pairs well! The fries are super crispy too! Happy I tried this place out. Don't forget to ask for honey

Best chicken you can get. Spice level mild is what i prefer. Fries are good as well. Nothing bad to write about.
The service was standard. What really brought it down for me was the advertisement for milk shakes. Had lots of Oreo milk shakes, but didn't understand that it's just a vanilla shake with oreos on top. And, the vanilla shake was very whipped, airy..... for the $7.50, very disappointing.
This place caters to the young judging by its wall paintings and decor. The chicken pieces are noticeably well seasoned. They more brown than usual due to seasoning. You can choose from hot to mild and not spicy at all. Some people like their chicken seasoned this way but I prefer milder flavored chicken. It's busy on a Monday afternoon. My son-in-law who loves well seasoned food enjoyed their chicken very much. Service was fast. The place was clean but the walls are too busy for the elder part of the community.
