TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I’m a fan of DHC! Each location has its own personality while also keeping in synch with the overall branding. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the food is always delicious. The pricing is great for the value. You can also substitute the fries for extra kale coleslaw. It’s so yummy! Definitely check one out if you’re near one. There’s meat free options as well with their cauliflower tenders and bites.
Once again, Dave’s Hot Chicken continues to be an excellent spot. If you are looking for hot chicken that is pretty close to the real deal out in Nashville. If you are familiar with the Nashville, heat levels, choose one level higher here as they do hold back a little bit. We tried this on our last day in New York, and this was perhaps the best food we had there. The flavours are amazing and the chicken are huge! Recommend to everyone!
The Dave’s Hot Chicken near 86 street has to be one of the best, if not the best chicken store I’ve been too. The staff are really nice and polite, and the service is fast and professional. The food always hits and the food at Dave’s hot chicken is halal so that makes it better for me. I love the place. Fully deserves a 4.5+ rating. 🐐✨
I ordered with their Dave’s hot chicken app. I selected Dave’s #1 2 tenders w/fries. However, for some reason, the system substituted my fries for slaw. It really annoyed me. I didn’t even find out until I got my meal and opened the box. I was so disappointed that I didn’t see fries in my box.
