TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I ordered medium and spicy . It was super delicious I have to say. Being a first generation American from Taiwan, I grew up with restaurants and street food vendors sautéing their fried chicken/popcorn chicken in several ways so I thought I've had the best fried chicken I can find. When I tried the medium, I was impressed with the sweetness and unique flavor and was like damnnnnn!!!! The spicy was good too, but I was too weak to handle it so had to eat it slowly with soda. Must try: Slider w/ Fries! Why: The large fried chicken inside the slider was juicy tender! I also added cheese on the chicken because I love cheese. I appreciated the extra pickles that came on the side. The fries were crispy with a little seasoning and tasted delicious dipping in Dave's Sauce. I also tried the Mac & Cheese, which was cheesy gooey creamy goodness. Happy taste buds and belly! Notes: Brand new spot on UES and I'm happy they opened shop! Glad this new location opened up in UES. Not many hot chicken places around so this was a great move. We went during the grand opening week. Inside is big, decent amount of seats and fun interior. Menu is pretty simple. We ordered hot chicken tenders (multiple spice levels to choose from). Perfectly juicy chicken with right about of seasonings. We ordered the reaper chicken sandwich, which you do need to sign a waiver for.
