I came in on a Saturday morning shortly after they opened. No lines and a bright greeting from the cashier! This location is very big with lots of seatings and high ceilings. They were also serving sample slushies! I ordered a small fruity pebbles topped shake and a two-piece tender (hot). The shake was pretty good! It's definitely a different kind of chicken place. It isn't bad, but it isn't worth waiting an hour in line for. Haven't tried the shakes, but they look amazing....And very fattening.

Dave's Hot Chicken in Federal Way is the best restaurant experience in Federal Way for many reasons but what is the icing on the cake (chicken) is their leader, Eric. I mean, Eric is the personification of what a manager should be. It's not even fair to the other restaurants in the area. He's like a secret weapon for Dave's. I lucked out today, The line was shorter than normal. So I just walked in, nice bright room full of people eating and clean tables were available . I passed the kiosk ( online ordering was getting annoying) and just wanted to talk to a human... I told cashier that it was my first time there and that social media got my attention. Went to Dave's hot chicken on opening weekend. Got the 18 piece chicken bites. It was decent , comes with sauces on the side, including the Dave's house sauce and ketchup if you want that and hot honey. good value for money but being opening weekend it was pretty crowded and the wait was pretty long. I've been to the Capitol Hill location before so crowds are nothing unexpected when it comes to Dave I would be going again to try their milkshakes and other items on their menu. Here's my Hot take on Dave's Hot chicken Been wanting to try them out since they opened up in my general area, however, there was always a line out the door and i didn't feel like waiting an hour plus. Finally, was making a run to FedEx next door on a Wed at 2:30pm and decided to give them a try. It was a bit busy but no line whatsoever and was able to order immediately - couple of combos and a shake for the kids to share.
