A Buzzkill That Should Make Dave Reconsider His Business Model! After all the hype surrounding the new Dave's Hot Chicken in Federal Way, I took my family there this evening, expecting at least a decent fast-casual experience. I was thinking Hot Chicken, not tenders, my mistake, should have checked the menu. Didn't want soda, asked for a cup of water, they tried to charge me $2.95. I said no thank you. When paying, they don't offer a no tip category, you have to jump through confusing hoops. (Fast food workers getting $25 and hour don't get tips)

Waiting 45 mins for 2 sliders & fries is insane!!!! Although the food was very tasty I highly doubt I'll be back after this first experience of a long way. And that's personally for my own order when I do DoorDash is really a hostile mess.

If I could rate this business lower I would. 35 minute plus wait for two tenders to be cooked and served? It was on a Tuesday at 220pm... not a busy dinner rush hour. I got a refund after 35mins of waiting. What a joke.

I have been wanting to try this spot and kept pushing it off because of the lines. Decided one night to give it a shot and order online. I placed an order at 9:32 pm for a pickup time at 10:07 pm. The lobby looked pretty chaotic. The kitchen and front looked equally as chaotic. I'm glad they had a tv display with all the different ordering platforms to check if your order was ready. 1 hour wait time. Shake machine was down. Customer after us who ordered in line got their food before us and they had a huge order. When we day them get their food first, went up to the counter to address why we didn't get our food yet, apparently the cashier gave us the wrong pager number. Overall food was alright. I had one of the worst experiences at Dave's Hot Chicken today. I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for my order, which is completely unacceptable. The explanation I received was that it's a sunny day and staff are out sick -- but that's not a valid excuse for poor operations. If your kitchen is backed up, you need to pause incoming orders and manage the flow properly, not keep taking more and more orders while customers wait endlessly. This place is the worst. I waited an hour for my food and it still did not come out. When I went to get a refund, they said my food was ready. When I went to ask about my food after an hour they said less than 10 minutes but less than 10 minutes became 25 minutes. Never again will I go. It was first time going and it was a bad first impression. Not a lot of staff working too. Even though I didn't get to taste the food, I will never go back there again. I rather go to Chik fil A.
