I need to say first that I rarely post online reviews. However, when my mother had surgery earlier this month, Reliant was highly recommended by a friend of ours who was a previous patient there. I immediately read the reviews (at the time I could only find 2 and they were both Yelp), and was not optimistic about what I saw; however, our close friend assured us that her experience was nothing short of opposite of the negative reviews I saw. I have been pleasantly surprised by the friendly, helpful staff. They respond quickly and go above and beyond. Having moved my mom from a hospital after knee surgery we were worried about her care. The previous hospital did not respond to patient calls in a timely manner and was clearly understaffed. Healthsouth has created a positive, respectful culture of caring from the night guard, physical therapist, nurses, techs, housekeeping and care managers. It is definitely worth the drive from Georgetown for the quality of care... read more

My husband Pete is 73 and had a massive stroke and went to Reliant Austin for rehab. My son and I are so happy that we decided on Reliant Austin for rehab. My husband made amazing gains while there for 3 weeks. When he first arrived he was dead weight, and dependent for everything. I was so worried about how I was going to care for him at home. Within the first week he was walking some with a walker and eating by himself with the opposite hand. The staff is wonderful and caring. They really know what they are doing. ... read more

I am very disappointed to see such a poor review for this hospital. My grandfather was also a patient at Reliant Austin and had a completely different experience while there. First off, my grandfather fell while working outside in the garage and broke his hip. He had surgery to fix the break and we decided that he needed to go to rehab before he went home. I've had a wonderful experience at healthsouth. I've been going for the past month and have actually worked with 4 different physical therapist. They have honestly been more helpful in my recovery from 2 herniated dics then my spinal doctor. They take the time to talk to you and explain everything. They make sure to start you off slow so they can find what works to help the pain.
