This Is my third visit to this facility! I am a 43 y/o stage four cancer patient who has frequent surgeries and this is the only rehab In Las Vegas I would recommend. I use to be a ICU nurse before getting cancer, so I have heard throughout my 20 years of nursing from both patient and staff which facilitates to avoid. My husband has been here for 3 weeks. It is has neen very pleasant. Dr chue is vey nice and every nurse and cna get a 5 star. Hats off to Sheryl nurse manager. Marybeth George everyone and therapy are awesome

I was admitted 8 days ago for an inability to walk and muscle weakness due to 7 weeks of radiation for breast cancer while taking Xeloda chemotherapy pills at the same time. My body shut down and after 3 days in the hospital I was sent here for rehab. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Every single person on staff from CNA's to RN's to the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy staff were OUTSTANDING. My dad was admitted here for muscle weakness thought due to his cholesterol medication. He had a private room and was treated with dignity and respect. When he was transferred from one wing to another, the staff came to visit him in his new room to check on him. My mom was able to spend the night the entire time he was there. My parents said the nurses and therapists were friendly, motivating and supportive. My only concerns were that I requested a neuro consult (which he received). One of my family members has been in Desert Canyon several times, following surgeries, etc. Great care from kind and caring professional. The gym is outstanding, and the entire setting of the facility is designed to look as non-clinical as possible, with spacious private rooms, and patios and an atrium, as well as a large stone fireplace in the entrance.
