My relative has been at Encompass for five days now. All of the issues mentioned below have been dealt with and positively resolved. The staff has been nothing but considerate and extremely competent. My relative had a stroke a few months back and hasn't done much since as she recovers from the bleed in her brain. Encompass had her shower on her first day, had her toileting on her 2nd day, and incredibly, had her walking with a walker today, her fifth day. One of most difficult things to do is find a medical facility that you are comfortable with and trust. Encompass Health is one of those facilities. Greeted with smiles the moment you walk in, everyone is busy taking care of patients. Organized, clean and professional. From the attentive physicians to the Physical and Occupational therapists to all the nursing, nursing assistants and maintenance staff, there is nothing but good things to say. 5 stars to Kayshena Harnarrine on the cleaning staff). One of the hardest working woman I've ever seen and the kindest. They day nursing staff are also amazing! Unfortunately, the night nursing is less amazing. Perhaps the issue is due to a lack of staff. The PT's are beyond amazing! Thank you each and every one of them! The physical therapists, occupational therapists and a speech pathologists are all incredible. I was astounded by the progress I made in only one week. I am beyond thankful and grateful. If thhe need to return were ever to arise, I would go back to encompass rehab in a heartbeat.

Everyone who worked at encompass during my stay there was attentive to my needs. The OT and PT staff members treated me with nothing but respect and kindness. I'm especially grateful to Jennifer and Stephanie in Gym 5 for their care. When they first started working with me I was little more than a body in a bed. At the time of my arrival I could barely lift my arms, let alone use my hands and fingers, and my legs were practically dead weight. Had a great experience, Dr. Tannenbaum is exceptional. Great nursing staff and doctors! The Occupational and physical therapists are very caring, and gave great positive encouragement. Special thanks to Dr. Seymour, Andres (PT), Lisa (OT) -and the rest of staff- Such wonderful and caring people (I know I left out so many names - just making this short)! I really recommend this facility for rehab after an injury/surgery requiring help before returning home. Had a great experience! Thank you!

I was discharged from Holy Cross Hospital on Thursday, January 13th and a case worker did not complete the plan for me to be admitted to Encompass Health Rehab Hospital (not the first in a series of miscommunications that Holy Cross is noted for). The ambulance returned me to the hospital and I finally was admitted to Encompass on January 15th. I was placed in a neatly appointed room. Not every place and every person is going to be perfect but when it came to finding somewhere that the staff was attentive and responsive and really cares about their patients, this was it. Particularly, the therapists go above and beyond I'm very impressed with this facility and would recommend to anyone in need of therapy and care for their loved ones.

About ready to start my second week at Encompass Health, there's a lot I could say .... good, bad and ugly ... but I've gotten over my Clint Eastwood phase. Diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that metastasized to my spine, I guess there really isn't a lot of I can say but maybe do the proverable, bend over and kiss my ass goodbye, however, in the rehab section, Encompass doesn't say no or goodbye but rather, we're gonna deal with that and move onto the next step.
