Very pleasant and a great deal. They keep very clean. I am very pleased with ESS in Hawaiian Gardens and the location is only a mile away.

I just moved in a couple of weeks ago and the management is very helpful, the complex is very clean and it is very comforting to know that the Management is on-site. I have had storage units in the past at a different place, so I know what to look for. So far, I am very pleased and happy with Extra Space Storage in Hawaiian Gardens.

I haven't made the decision yet but my experience so far has been great. I walked in and asked Elaine about the units avlb and she told me then asked if I wanted to see them I said yes, she dropped everything she was doing, locked up the office and we headed out in the golf cart. She explained how it worked, I have never had a storage space before. She made me feel very comfortable and reserved me a great deal!

I've had no complaints about them until the time I vacated my unit. The office staff was friendly, and the location was close to my home. I called the office a few days before my rent was due and told the person that we're moving out a couple of days after my rent is due and asked him how much I need to pay for the two days. He said it was OK and that I didn't need to pay. Great, I thought. Then a few days after I move out, I get an email from them saying that I'm past due on my rent. I have been with them for a few months now & I'm liking my experience. They were upfront about every charge & the girls in the office were very friendly. The facilities are well kept (although I haven't been in the restrooms). They are very reasonably price, for the 10 x 20 I'm paying almost $150 less than other facilities I priced out in the area & the unit is really good. I'm a happy customer.

I have had not issues with the staff or access to my unit or concerns about security. However, my fees have been increaseed at an unreasonable rate. I specifically asked if my initial monthly fee of $73.20 was a promo fee and was told no. I asked how often and how much I should expect the rate to increase, and was told rate increases do happen, but they couldn't tell me when or how much that might be. Real quick, I will say the facility is clean and don't see any damage to fencing or unlocked doors. HOWEVER, if you use their bluetooth access for the gates, you could be sitting there for a minute or two and the second you try to enter your code manually, the gate magically wants to open once a single button is entered in. If you're lucky enough to have a bluetooth unit, the doors are very secure and no one is hacking your unit. My storage got broken, they stole most of my stuf i had, I inform the people that work there but it seems like it was not a big surprise, asking around i found out that it happens more often then not.. just go somewhere else

I just signed a very expensive monthly rental agreement this week, and the first time I showed up to the unit the entry door wouldn't open. Many other people were outside with us also unable to get in and after being on the phone for 20 minutes I was told that I should call the software company that controlled the gate. Is that something the customer should have to do??
