DO NOT STORE WITH Extra Storage location #776. Here's how this location handles customer needs: Upon reaching out to the store, I was connected with June who was very helpful and understanding our needs. I explained that we currently have shipments arriving on-site as frequent as once a week to our unit. Most packages are toilet paper and paper towels at 20 or so lbs per box, but some do go up to around 60lbs per box. Like others mentioned, they will raise your rate after a couple of months. We had two units starting at staggered dates. Both rates increased in lockstep. Also, when we started they said the temperatures stay even throughout the year. Not true. It gets very warm inside during the summer. Lastly, the driveway is too small and narrow. Lots of accidents. Two stars instead of one because their staff has always been kind and accommodating.

This is a scam outfit , get a deal then next the rent goes up .I started at 100 for a 6x6 space and with in 4 months they were taking 160 out of my auto pay. I was out of the country and only when my renter told me , you got another notice your storage was going up to 190. After just four months, our rent was increased without prior notice. The regional manager was unable to explain why we had not been notified in advance as specified in the agreement or tell us how often or how much the rent would be increased going forward. In addition, we found mildew in our unit after being reassured that this had never been an issue at the location before. They significantly raised my rate after 2 months! It is typically difficult to find a place to park and I've witnessed 2 accidents here because of the tight parking. This is not to mention that their hours are awful. You have to take time off of work to go to your unit if you're a 9-5er. Avoid this place!

I've rented here for only five months before receiving a notice that my rate increased over 15%. Despite the hassle of moving in and out of another storage unit, I'm headed elsewhere. Because you're on a month-to-month contract, they're able to increase rent whenever they want without a ceiling. At $15/month increases, I'll happily find somewhere else. I would NOT rent a storage unit here again. The hours for accessing your unit are inconvenient (essentially business hours, beginning at 9:30). The units themselves have multiple pipes running through them and have awkward angles instead of being rectangularly shaped like all other rooms. The manager Jesse is blase and uninterested. He gave the impression that he didn't care about your concerns and didn't make an effort to have pleasant customer exchanges.

Beware, I almost agreed to store property at this facility but the lease they provided permits the company to amend the terms without any agreement of the renter. This seems to grant the company the right to raise rents whenever it chooses. Their manager Juan informed me that they may exercise this right usually after 3-4 months of rent. I asked to edit this provision and was informed by both Juan and a member of the MD corporate office that the lease is "as-is" and no edits are permissible. This is essentially a criminal enterprise. They slap you with rent increases every few months because they know it is a pain in the neck to move stuff out, and that you need the storage otherwise you would never have rented space. They have been horrible for many years to me, and I should have moved out long ago, but I get busy and delay it. The last rent increase, however, should be the last straw.
