I was very happy with Extra Space at first, but it seems like they've got a really great scheme going on where they get you in for a lower price, and then about 3 months in, they jack up the prices by $100. As per other reviewers, exactly 3 months in, they raised the prices by sending a postcard in the mail despite all my other communication being online. Total bait and switch. They will entice you with their online pricing and tell you it may change based on "market conditions." Exactly 3 months into my contract they informed me they were jacking up my price by 67%!! What "market conditions" changed to jack my rate up 67%? Terrible.

They are rude and the prices are high. I rented the unit and in two months they went up $70. When ask them they said its the market price. When I search the market fir 5x8 unit it's less then $100. But they charging me $140. I'm moving out DON'T GO THER!!!!!!!!

Completely unreliable and cannot be trusted. On moving day, I was not able to enter the facility or access my unit. I tried entering my code on the pinpad several times, and when I finally called their customer service, I was told that all their pinpads were not working. The only solution they offered was that I return the next day. And this was AFTER I arrived at their facility and was sitting outside in a rented UHaul with all of my things in the truck waiting to be unloaded. Inconsistent access. Staff will lock up early, claiming the business is closed. Clearly the gate is closed to vehicles at 5:30, but office hours are printed on the front door as "open until 6:00pm." Don't believe it.

DO NOT STORE WITH Extra Storage location #776. Here's how this location handles customer needs: Upon reaching out to the store, I was connected with June who was very helpful and understanding our needs. I explained that we currently have shipments arriving on-site as frequent as once a week to our unit. Most packages are toilet paper and paper towels at 20 or so lbs per box, but some do go up to around 60lbs per box. Like others mentioned, they will raise your rate after a couple of months. We had two units starting at staggered dates. Both rates increased in lockstep. Also, when we started they said the temperatures stay even throughout the year. Not true. It gets very warm inside during the summer. Lastly, the driveway is too small and narrow. Lots of accidents. Two stars instead of one because their staff has always been kind and accommodating.
This is a scam outfit , get a deal then next the rent goes up .I started at 100 for a 6x6 space and with in 4 months they were taking 160 out of my auto pay. I was out of the country and only when my renter told me , you got another notice your storage was going up to 190. What a rip off and now the hrs are shorter, a pleasant person behind the desk told me we put it in the contract that due to factors we increase the rent when we need, What factors...
