Just thought I would update. If you look at the response to my review, Extra Space said call and they'd address the issue. They told me that a manager would call me to discuss the issue. That call never came. Consist with their crummy customer service.

I just went in today to get some workout equipment and found out that the unit next to mine broke into our storage broke the locks of an expensive trunk, rummaged through my things and certain things are missing. I went to the front to inform them and their response was 'we know, we are going to fix it.' I asked 'when were you guys going to notify me?' Was there for a little over 3 years and it wasn't horrible .. It was just bad . There were multiple break in's that I actually seen the first month I moved in . Not too surprising because there is more than a handful of individuals who live in the units especially after office hours . Rent increases weren't that bad till recently. My rent was raised $80+ a month on a $200 unit last month . I am signed up for paperless billing so I didn't notice till I was charged. This storage management is very rude , condescending, and over charges for units by increasing rates during covid times the staff is very illiterate and racist that insults customers they have no management skills specialist in lying they deleted my payment that was on file and than sent me a letter for not making payment on time and charged fees the executive manager called was in human not hearing customer complaint but started attacking me and making threats these people are who filled racist and low mind thinkers that l... read more
I've been with extra space for over 6 years. I currently moved locations and have never had any problems at the other location. Well today the manager Char at this location got very aggressive with me verbally and then said I was the one who was being aggressive towards her when I was just simply responding to her aggressiveness. I wasn't being rude all I said was I was going to pay my bill and she said there's no need for you to get aggressive with me. Which I wasn't so I didn't sweat it. If you like obnoxious women, you will love this Extra Space location! Daniel Daniels was the nicest guy in the world and very helpful...now you have 2 women who are horrible. I've rented in 3 (yeah I move around a lot) Extra Space Storage facilities in California during the last 10 years and this was the only location where I had rent increases 2-3 times per year. This place is absolutely ridiculous and a complete rip off. they have raised the price easily more than 4 times in a year. For paying over 500$ for a unit it's complete BS to be having to file a claim for a leaking roof that damaged our property
Renter beware -- I have rented for only one year and my monthly premium has gone up 53%. They lure you in with low rates then jack up the premiums. This is my 3rd rate increase in 13 months.
This place is clean but they allow people to stay in their cars with their storage units open all day if they want. ( basically camping ). But the worst is how once you get all your stuff in place they will raise your rate. Not once but consistently because they know it's a pain to move. It might be hard to move but it's easy to warn others
