My husband got us a unit and we fell behind on the payments. We reached out to the store manager regarding a the unit and found out our unit was being sold and corporate was not willing to fix what their store manager had done.

Buyer beware. The facility itself is fine, but they use bait and switch tactics with their pricing to lure customers in and then astronomically increase your rate. My storage unit was initially $82 for a 10 x 10 unit in July. With additional insurance this came out to around $93 monthly. About four months into my unit rental, now November, I get slapped with a bill for $168 for a market value increase. They are still advertising the same $82 rate online for new customers. They will raise your rent will double in a short amount of time.This company has changed ownership several times. It's now listed as Extra Space Storage or Life Storage. I was renting from them for several years - but over the past 2 years, my rent is now double (for a 6x9 small space). My latest bill is now $134. for this tiny space. Yet, they advertise this same space for around $35 bucks a month. DO NOT BE FOOLED. The Extra Space Storage has charged me excessive storage fees and late fees. I am paying 348 a month and started at 148. Now Im dealing with mice infestation at the ********, ** property. The employees are rarely in the office and always have a return later sign on the door. I went there on Saturday 11/4 and had to clean piles of mice f**** on my storage containers before I could retrieve them. This company is fraudulent and a rip off. They will scam you out of your money with many fees and when there system is glitching they will take no responsibility for the reason your payments are delayed. They need to get rid of ALL ExtraSpace Storages!

Extra Space Storage is a ******************** They take over existing local storage companies and then immediately implement their no notice price increases, with ongoing price increases every 3+ Mo. I moved from one of their locations a year ago and they just purchased my new location, they immediately increased the rent 35%, no notice. Bait and switch prices. Do not rent with them! Month to month renters will receive a rent price increase on their units 3 months in. The price doubled from $158 to $258 on a unit that still had their web offer online listed for $158. When I called in they were unrelenting and offered a small adjustment off but warned this happens TWICE a year! Shady crooks.
