BBQ was average and didn't match the hype. Ribs were very dry and the pork belly was not as tender as it could have been. Brisket was moist but lacked any discernable smoke flavor. The coleslaw was very refreshing and perfectly dressed however the brussel sprouts was dry and salty but it was a very healthy portion. Hot sauce was not hot at all and the mustard sauce didn't taste like mustard

Great spot, phenomenal barbecue! We had the ribs, pulled pork, and brisket- all amazing. Barbecue sauces were also spot on. Definitely check it out!
So glad Federalist Pig expanded and added seating. They have absolutely delicious BBQ and a bevy of sides to address a variety of food interests. Plus, their wide arrange of sauces gives you options from traditional to a personal favorite, the sticky garlic. Friendly, welcoming services helps make this no frills restaurant a joy to patronize. The Federalist Pig was just ok for takeout. Got moist brisket and the meat was grey, not the most appetizing. Sausage was pretty good, but on the fatty side. The sides were alright, Mac and cheese mostly tastes like Cajun seasoning, but green beans were tasty. Sauces were pretty good, tried mustard sauce and mild BBQ.

Since it's located right next to one of my favorite coffee houses, I just wanted to stop by for lunch and surprisingly it was s delicious as heck! Customer service was good. The staff members helped me pick their personal favorite meets and the food was ready within 5 mins. She was too shy to be famous on Yelp but she deserves a shoutout for her friendly assistance. The food was good and not over cooked. I will say the sides were a little to spicy for the group I was with. The service was nice and everyone was pleasant. The Restaurant was clean and accommodating. If they reduce the level of heat for sides I would have given 5 stars.
The customer service and ambience is very nice. The boudin balls are delicious but are about 98% rice. They just need to add more flavor to the meats.

Everything was spot on. Small portions for BBQ, but I guess that's just DC. The sides were larger portions than the meat. Pretty disappointing for the price, but I guess they do specify the weight given. It's just that when I think of BBQ, I think of larger portions. All the food was high quality and tender meats.
