Keeping all the stars! Had the opportunity to return, and this time eat in-person. Not crowded on the particular night we went, so all meats were available to sample. I mentioned it was my birthday that night (love getting 'que on my special day!) and they offered me a complimentary banana pudding to celebrate! My crew ordered a sampler platter of spare ribs, fatty brisket, wings, mac-n-cheese and Brussels sprouts. The order also came with picked onions, pickle slices and Texas toast. It was a feat and the clear winner were... read more

Experienced catered bbq chicken for an event. The meat was tender and stayed warm. BBQ sauces were so yum! Delivery was 15-min early (a plus!) & nicely presented in a large box to make it easy to carry. Would definitely order from here and look forward to going the restaurant.

I enjoyed most of my takeout. I did not care much for the brisket. I enjoyed the pulled pork, fortunately. The order was ready within the time frame I was given. On a subsequent visit, the pulled pork was still great and the brussel sprouts were delicious. I recommend the pulled pork and the brussel sprouts.

If you want good BBQ in the DMV area then you definitely have to check out this place! I have been trying to look for a solid BBQ place for awhile and this place hit the spot! This place also has a lot of room for seating and is well decorated to the give that BBQ joint atmosphere aesthetic. The employees were extremely friendly, kind, and prompt with bringing out the food quickly too! My favorite meats we had ordered were the brisket and the pork belly. The brisket and pork belly were so tender and juicy, and not dry at ... read more

Some of the best bbq I've had, including the south. Loved every single thing we ordered. Don't go without the ribs and brisket. The brussel sprouts and beans were both delicious and filling. The Mac was incredible! They also have amazing bbq sauces to add like garlic, mustard, and Carolina. Will be going back. Nice open layout and weren't too crowded on the week day. They are also open on weekends, despite what Apple maps shows as their hours.

Federalist Pig used to be one of my "must visit" restaurants whenever I was in Adams Morgan, but unfortunately it has taken a turn for the worse in recent years. Prices have gone up, while meat portion sizes have gone down significantly. The sides are still generously portioned, but I can't justify paying $20+ for the tiny portion of meat that you get in the Two-Step. The taste of the BBQ meat itself was merely "eh." The value just isn't there for me ($32/pound for DC tier brisket?), despite the sauces + service being good. ... read more

Typical bbq joint with the picnic tables and the smell of smoke and ribs. Food: we ordered the ribs, chicken, Mac n cheese, beans and potato salad. I loved everything except the potato salad it wasn't flavorful and it taste very bland. The ribs were seasoned and delicious to say the least. The Mac n cheese was also a hit. I would visit them again if I am ever in the DC area

Don't let the name fool you - this place is serious about their veg and vegan offerings! I liked all their sauces except the spiciest one (good spice level, just more of a chili powder flavor than I personally cared for) and the garlic one (normally I love super garlicky, but for some reason this was overpowering for me). The tofu bahn mi is perfection - will be getting that again soon. Brussels and fries were great too. The cauliflower was truly smoky - give it a try if you like smoky flavors. The fried chicken sandwic... read more
