Last minute find. It is a casual restaurant, you order at the counter, sit down and eat. Self service with sauces, utensils, napkins and to-go containers. Clean up after yourself when you are done. Which works for me at times when I don't want to pay 20% service tip. Our meal came to close to $100, it would have been $20 for tip we saved. The food is good, everything was tasty.

I'm by no means a BBQ snob but I've had BBQ once or twice and I'd say Federalist Pig is quite good. My favorite was actually the pork belly. It was perfectly tender and juicy with a delicious smokey flavor. The brisket and ribs were quite good as well. Their sides are solid as well the brussel sprouts were solid quite hard to miss there and the mac and cheese and potato salad were also good. Their selection of bbq sauces really did it for me each one had depth of flavor and brought a new flavor profile to each bite.

We were visiting the area and came across this resto. The food and the different sauces were so good! The meat was tender and cooked just like the way it should. The staff were nice and accomodating. The side dishes like the mash potato were also great! Yhe ambiance was inviting, it was clean. I like the accessible sink in the dining area, eating ribs can be messy. This place reminds me of Phil's BBQ in California but this place has more options.

Ordered Carry out today and was a nice switch! I don't get barbecue often, but this place knows how to do it right. Turkey was so juicy and fresh, and even though I got the lean brisket it was still delicious and no where near dried out! Also tried their chili mac, which was a bit of a mix for me, I felt like there needed to be just a little less chili, it was like 60%mac and 40% chili, which just felt like a lot. If you have a dairy or gluten allergy and are missing BBQ, check out Federalist Pig! Online they clearly list which items have dairy and gluten which makes it a lot easier. I love the set up here, you order at the counter and then can find your own seating. There are plenty of tables but it doesn't feel crowded at all. They call your name when your order is ready and you pick it up and then there is a shelf where you can grab different BBQ sauces, napkins, and cutlery. Delicious brisket, potato salad. Service was excellent. We love the basic decor - the way a BBQ joint should be!
