After seeing what felt like dozens of videos/images of Federalist Pig's mouthwatering meats all over my TikTok FYP and Instagram Reels, I knew that I needed to visit this highly lauded barbecue spot. And no, it's not just hyped up by "food influencers" - it's been recognized in the Michelin Guide (earning the distinction of Bib Gourmand), with Southerners proclaiming that it just may rival the BBQ to be had down south. The restaurant itself is located a hop away from Dupont Circle in the more residential neighborhood of Adam... read more
Delicious brisket, potato salad. Service was excellent. We love the basic decor - the way a BBQ joint should be!
Absolutely great dining experience! This was a recommended from the awesome rooftop bartender at The Morrow Hotel. Great recommendation.
Delicious and affordable bbq! Choice of 5 bbq sauces. You order at the counter and pick up in the dining room. Really good service and food :)
Heard a lot of hype around this place and was super excited to try it. But after having tried bbq in Texas, Kentucky, and North Carolina this doesn't match up to that. Ambiance: 5/5 - I loved the ambiance and atmosphere here. The music they were playing was fantastic and had plenty of picnic style tables to sit for a family to be together. Price: 2/5 - I think its typical of a DC restaurant to be overpriced but I was hoping a bbq place would provide more portions for the price they charged. I got the 2 step which include... read more

Easily my new favorite spot for bbq! It's not the cutest place in the world, but the food is amazing! They're really upping the bbq game. You can order all the classic BBQ dishes, but I recommend trying their specials. They put an international twist and they deliver amazing flavors. The sandwiches sound intimidating, but they're seriously delicious! Sticky Garlic Prok Ribs - dish of the night for me. Fell off the bone and flavor packed! Apollo Cheese Sandwich - a cheesy and delicious sandwich. I loved the tomatoes an... read more
Super delish! We came right when they're adding a new sandwich menu. Loved all the bbq with their Asian inspired flavor. Loved the Larry David sandwich. It was their Reuben! Pork belly Bao's - bread was a little off for a bao, but the pork belly was delicious! Garlic sticky Pork ribs - so yumssssss Apollo cheese - was like a Philly cheesesteak, also yums They had lots of seatings inside and a few outside. You can also take the food to go! It's like most bbq places where you order your food and wait for your name to be ca... read more
Terrible BBQ. They keep the entire fat cap on the brisket and don't know how to cut it properly. Total amateurs. Not sure why anyone would rate this place high. Owners need a new pit master ASAP.

Consistently good Brisket. Staff is usually pleasant. One of my first stops when I get into town.
