This was easily the worst haircut I've ever had. First off, I had asked for only an inch cut off.. I wanted to clean it up a little. The artist cut off 2 1/2 inches. When I got home and checked the back with a mirror, it was COMPLETELY jagged and uneven. I went back to the salon later that evening to speak to a manager and hopefully resolve the issue. Hold time to try to get an appointment is way too long at Bellevue and Redmond locations. Also, I thought I would give the monthly membership thing a try and was not able to get in for the month of May at all, so I lost my service for that month. NO rollovers. For me this place will just be the rare occasion or gift card use. I will spend my money elsewhere. The services themselves are always really great however...

I had a hair cut appointment for Sunday afternoon at the Redmond salon. It was to be a birthday treat to me. I check in for my haircut and am told that my stylist had an emergency and she couldn't cut my hair. I could wait an hour or reschedule. Receptionist said that they had called and left me a message telling me about the change. I couldn't wait an hour and certainly didn't feel like rescheduling. The worst service ever! Had an appointment set and called to let them know I'd be 5 mins late - they said "no problem, that's within our grace period". When I sped thru Redmond and got there 5 minutes after on the nose, they took me back and the stylist informed me they she couldn't get me in because I was late - and was very snotty about it. I'm busy and have little time to begin with - when I call and verify that it's ok to be a little late, and they say "no problem" I expect it not to be a problem. If I did that to my... read more

I had a haircut and style at GJ after hearing good reviews. In all fairness, their cuts are decent. However, what I thought was a complete ripoff was their "deep-conditioning treatment which they charge an extra $35. It essentially was a few spritzes of some liquid after shampoo - that's it. No extra conditioning mask etc. My hair felt drier than usual after the haircut and blow dry as there was no real "conditioning" at all. My 15 year old daughter had her hair cut today by stylist Brooke at the Redmond Town Center Gene Juarez. Do yourself a favor and find someone else for your service. Her beautiful long hair ended up looking choppy and uneven and it was far shorter than we requested. A big bummer right before the holidays and a family wedding on the 27th. We're extremely disappointed by the quality of the service, especially given the $50 price tag.

I have been going to the Gene Juarez salon in Redmond Town center for years but in the past 3 months every time I try to call for an appointment I get put on hold for over 15 minutes. The most trying part of this is that the message says that my call is important to them, but with the hold time, I find that hard to believe. As I write this post, I have been on hold for 12 minutes. Maybe it is time to find a salon that will answer my call

I need to revise my rating... I didn't know they had a customer service dept, because I've never needed it. I was contacted by customer service regarding my cut and a I was scheduled with a different stylist. Chandra in Silverdale was on time, discussed how the cut could be improved and I left feeling much, much better. My trust has been restored... I even scheduled an appointment for my daughter! Never referring anyone to this salon again. Sent a friend of mine in and she was really unhappy with the service and also the attitude and just demeanor of her stylist "whitney" i feel bad to have made the recommendation and wanted to warn others to make sure you know the stylist your getting don't just let them give you who is available..ughhhhhhhhhhhhh i hate when this happens. I have heard great things about this salon so maybe it was just her unlucky day.
