No way to make our experience better than perfect - Dr Barnes has treated our friend's dog when amazing patience - and when we had an emergency this last Monday - got our cat with eye injury in ASAP - saved the eye, and cleared up so many issues the feral that adopted us came along with - We will be transfering all our pets to the care of Goldorado - Heartfelt thanks so all the staff - they are all gems!

On November 2nd, we took Cookie [our Cocker spaniel who needed a Pet Passport to go to the UK] for her parasite treatment to the USDA vet a Dr. Yossi Haroush at the Animal Health Center in Briarwood Manor, NY. He complimented the vet who had worked on Cookie's ears. Well, that good vet who had done a great job was Dr. Barnes--thought I'd pass on the compliment. We recently rescued a stray kitten from Sacramento and named him Kai. Kai became ill about a week after we brought him home and being a Thursday afternoon I was worried about the upcoming weekend and him going downhill. I called Goldorado (we have never been to this vet hospital) and explained what was going on with Kai and they said I could bring him in immediately. Goldorado Animal Hospital is a very pleasant place to go for your fur babies. The office has a friendly family atmosphere that is very understanding of your situation. I had a 9 week old puppy that was kicked by one of my horses and they were there for him. The doctor has a wealth of knowledge and was very understanding of my financial situation and instead of looking at my pup as just dollar signs he provided me with an honest answer to the healing of my baby. I love this hospital! I have been taking my dog there since she was a pup. I have boarded her there many times, confident in the care, and knowing that if there was an emergency, she would be in the best hands! The care she receives while boarded is excellent! I never have to worry about her. She receives play time for a minimal fee, is taken out for potty breaks, and given her food and water. I highly recommend Goldorado Animal Hospital for all your pet needs as well as boarding.

I always take my cats here for their health care. So when our a/c went out and we booked a hotel and naturally I had the cats stay here until we could get the house temperature cool enough again. I'm always fairly happy with the care they get here and I think $19 a night per cat is reasonable. Anything vet care related is just super expensive anywhere you go, so I'm not gonna get into that. They had Bortelo shots already and were current on everything so we didn't have any extra charges. My only complaint is that we were t... read more

Always taken care of promptly and courteously. Dr Barnes is an excellent veterinarian. Have taken my pets there since 2002. The techs know my dogs and seem to really care about them. My dogs are boarded there quite often and are not nervous to stay overnight. Very clean facility.

I was going to say "WOW!", but the 5-star heading of "woohoooo!" is even better! I needed a new vet, as I was having some issues with another local vet, which I won't go into, since I haven't addressed them with the other vet yet. Sufficient to say-I am soooo delighted that I've made the transition. I know I've made the right decision, as the excellent experience I just had demonstrated.
