Our dog was attacked and bitten by an off leash dog while on a walk in a neighborhood. Goldorado was nearby and was recommended to treat the puncture wound. We took the dog to Goldorado late afternoon seeking treatment. The people at Goldorado told us they were currently treating an animal with an emergency and that when they were done they were closing and would not treat our dog. I wish there were a no stars button. Update on the response from the owner. There would be no record in my name of the dog he almost killed because as I said it was my sisters dog. There is absolutely no excuse to abandon a dying dog so you can go on vacation. We were told to bring her in on Monday. There was no mention of an emergency vet as my sisters dog was becoming septic with pyometria. But thanks for the generic and inaccurate response. Dr. Barnes atGoldorado Animal Hospital is the most professional caring and overall awesome veterinarian I've ever worked with! Won't go back. this is the 2nd place ive tried. Surgery complications. My darling fur baby didnt make. Maybe a more conservative approach would have been better. Will try another vet for my other fur babies.
Seems Goldorado cannot diagnose pets with out doing multiple expensive tests. I had two dogs seen here, one I had to diagnose myself because I wouldn't do the labs after the expensive x-rays found nothing wrong. I diagnosed her myself with pancreatitis and changed her diet to chicken, rice, peas and carrots. She recovered. My second dog was brought in with symptoms of lethargy and some neurological type issues. All tests were approved by us and given. this veterinarian misdiagnosed my dog with a disease then put him on Prednisone for months which caused my dog to get an actual disease cold Cushing's syndrome. They will lie to you and Miss diagnose your pet just to get your money. Even PetSmart next door told me they would never take their animals there. Seriously considering a small claims suit against them

Thank you for your feedback, please feel free to call our office and discuss your concerns. The doctor suspected a condition called Masticatory Myositis which can be confirmed with testing. This condition is usually treated with steroids such as prednisone. You declined the testing and opted for the steroids. There was a recheck scheduled for Bear in 6 weeks to reassess his condition. We started getting grooming services here after Petco injured our dog to the point of needing veterinary services. Goldorado did take care of our dogs when grooming, so they haven't sustained any injuries at Goldorado. If the rating was just based on that I would give them 5 stars I guess. However for quality and convenience, I would give them one star. It appears that you used our groomer twice, once after Petco sent Walter over due to some lacerations during a groom from them, and one other time where your request was to shave Walter close. I will NEVER take my pets here and I will caution everyone I know to do the same due to rude and unethical management. One of their clients basically committed check fraud using one of my checks. The check was written for more than what was in my account to cover it and the check bounced. But guess who they sent to collections? ME. Not my account. Not my dog. Not my problem.
