This is the worst. We put our cat there for 8 days from being dislocated by fire. I had to feed my cat everyday.

Business response:

So sorry you had a negative experience. None of our staff can recall a scenario such as this. We offer Science Diet adult maintenance as a feeding option for our boarders, included in the cost of the kennel stay. We appreciate feedback and encourage anyone who has any concerns to please give us a call.

We brought our bullmastiff in for possible sticker in his nose and my dog was treated horribly and so were we. We will never return to this place and want others to beware!!!

This place is a ripoff! We took our small dog into to have her anal glands released and they ended up charging us over $700!!!! We found out later this procedure costs only $20 at just about every other pet hospital! This place overcharges, price gouges!!!! Stay away from this pet hospital!!!

Our dog was attacked and bitten by an off leash dog while on a walk in a neighborhood. Goldorado was nearby and was recommended to treat the puncture wound. We took the dog to Goldorado late afternoon seeking treatment. The people at Goldorado told us they were currently treating an animal with an emergency and that when they were done they were closing and would not treat our dog. They advised us to go to another animal hospital which we did. We took our dog to Marqueen Pet Emergency and Specialty Group and received p... read more

Business response:

We are very sorry to hear that happened to your pet as dog fights are always such a scary occurrence. Unfortunately, we only had one doctor here at the end of that day when you came in, and we are not staffed 24/7. However, we are glad to hear that you were happy with the care you received from the emergency hospital that we refer to. Hopefully we can be of service to you in the future for your pet's needs.

I wish there were a no stars button. I took my 13 year old dog there for a split toe nail.the split was up to the quick and they had told me she needed surgery to remove the toe nail I ask the nurse what would happen if I waited so I could discuss thing with my boyfriend and she told me it would rip off and bleed alot and potentially kill her and I also told her I didnt feel very confident in sedation because of my dogs age she said "well we can pin her down and just rip it out if you'd perfer" I told her use sedation and do... read more

Business response:

As I reiterated to you on the phone, a torn or split nail (especially to the quick) is very painful for a dog. When you came in we discussed the estimate with you, explaining that in order for us to take a closer look and treat this painful condition, we would need to sedate Daija. You said you had limited funds, and asked if there was another way. Our technician explained that the only other choice would be to hold Daija down, but we preferred not to do it that way as it would be painful and traumatic for Diaja. We also ex... read more

Update on the response from the owner. There would be no record in my name of the dog he almost killed because as I said it was my sisters dog. There is absolutely no excuse to abandon a dying dog so you can go on vacation. We were told to bring her in on Monday. There was no mention of an emergency vet as my sisters dog was becoming septic with pyometria. But thanks for the generic and inaccurate response. Dr. Barnes nearly killed my sister's dog and it's been a few years but I'll never forget it. We took her in on a Frid... read more

Business response:

Unfortunately we have no record of you in our data base (11 years). We are sorry for your misfortune though with your fur baby, and for the unfortunate events with your sister. We do not leave our clients without options, and would have given her information to go to the emergency clinic that we recommend for after hours. Glad it all turned out well for her though, and that you are both so happy with your new vet.

Dr. Barnes atGoldorado Animal Hospital is the most professional caring and overall awesome veterinarian I've ever worked with! And I'm over 50 years old so I've had lots of pets and sadly need for veterinarian experiences! He is not only technically outstanding but has the heart and stamina of a lion! We have had multiple serious issues with our standard poodle which he addressed with kindness and sincere concern for getting it right! We used to always go to UC Davis for quote unquote bigger issues because we felt like we n... read more

Won't go back. this is the 2nd place ive tried. Surgery complications. My darling fur baby didnt make. Maybe a more conservative approach would have been better. Will try another vet for my other fur babies.

Seems Goldorado cannot diagnose pets with out doing multiple expensive tests. I had two dogs seen here, one I had to diagnose myself because I wouldn't do the labs after the expensive x-rays found nothing wrong. I diagnosed her myself with pancreatitis and changed her diet to chicken, rice, peas and carrots. She recovered. My second dog was brought in with symptoms of lethargy and some neurological type issues. All tests were approved by us and given. The staff continued to call us for payments up to $600. we paid it, howeve... read more

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback. Anytime a patient is presented to us with an illness, the best medicine to do is diagnostic testing; this helps in the care and treatment of your pet. Doing x rays and lab work gives us a big picture of what may be going on. When a client declines these services, or part of these services, then we only have a partial look into the pet's condition. We will always offer the best diagnostic package to our clients. As to your pet seen in 2016, we did do a diagnostic workup and all lab work was foun... read more
