I was going here for years for my many pets. In the past few years I have been displeased due to high rising costs and lack of care. Seems a lot of nonsense upsale too. I guess with Dr. Barnes gone things have gone downhill. I recently brought my dogs in for checkups. I waited over 5 hours to have them checked and seen. At one point they locked me out when I took my other dog for a pee break (during Lunch). I was so frazzled at the end of five hours that I forgot to get my paperwork (charged 800+) . 2 weeks later my... read more
Once again, this office is a major disappointment. Miscommunications, exorbitant charges, long wait times, and nothing but empty apologies for their lack of competence. I miss the days when Dr. Barnes was running this outfit. It's very unfortunate because we now have to travel outside of town to be seen. All we needed was an approval for my dog's thyroid medication which he has been taking for 5 years with no changes, but they insisted we come in for blood work first. What was supposed to be a $20 refill through 1-800-pet... read more
This place has gone to hell! I have been taking my dog(s) here for 20 years - but, I will not be doing so any longer. This place does not care about you or your animals. The rude woman at the front desk (she has red hair) has now done what she apparently wanted - for all the patients and parents to go away. I have referred so many people to this place, and now I feel horrible for doing this! Not only have I been treated badly, but all the people I have referred have also experienced the same treatment. This is NOT what... read more
i have taken my pets to Dr.Barnes since1989 with excellent care but since his retirement the care has not been the same. I called for a refill of tick medication for my dog on a Wed and called on Fri to pick it up. was told it would not be ready until Mon or Tue because those were the only days my vet would be there. I went in on Tue and the place was closed except for the office manager, this was at 2:30 in the afternoon. The vet was not there because she has 2 children at home. No other vet care available. it was then ... read more
Another client lost to poor management. Be mindful that right when you walk in for any reason, you are being charged $25 automatically, not including whatever the cost of the actual service you are getting under the guise of "Technician Services." Expect to wait 30 min. just to get your dog a booster shot that takes 5 min. to complete at an empty vet office because they will forget you are even there.
This is a sad review because the Doctors are great! But the customer service sucks and the manager is very unprofessional! I called and asked if they could give me post op instructions for my kitty after he had minor surgery and the girl on the phone told me she didn't have time and my husband would just have to listen when he picked our kitty up. I couldn't believe it! Then they sent us to collections for unpaid puppy plan which was not true and said they tried to get ahold of us, which we never heard anything, it came down... read more
On 1/3 I brought my 15 year Minpin mix Fergie with Diabetes to see Dr Miller about giving her some Meds for incontinence. Fergie was about 4 pounds light that her last visit. At the time DR Miller did an exam on her and thought she was healthy enough to be put on Proin. I gave Fergie her 1st dose that night. the next morning she threw up the last nights dinner. We contacted DR Millers office that day and they told us to only give Fergie the Proin once a day. Fergie would continue to eat her meals and throw them up about 12... read more
I started taking my cats to Goldorado in 2016. The staff, DVMs and VRTs were great. The front desk people were very courteous and professional. Now in 2022, I am taking my cats to a new vet clinic. Since Dr. Barnes retired things have gone downhill. Dr. Miller is great, but the current front desk people are extremely rude, egotistical and unprofessional. Especially Leah and Rebecca. Over the course of a lifetime having pets, I have never known such rude front desk people. They always act like it's a big hassle whenever I ca... read more
Went to Goldorado because Dr. Barnes, since retired, saved my cat's life last year. Went for a check up for my kitty, which included blood and urine labs. Total cost was $1100! 2 of the labs were not very common, they have to be shipped to another location, but I have since found out that this pricing is still ridiculous. Sorry Goldorado, I can no longer afford to come here.
