Good Morning Snore Solution

I'm not your typical snorer -- female, fairly fit, side-sleeper, age 50-ish -- but for some reason about 18 months ago I suddenly started to wake up with severe dry mouth from mouth-breathing and my sleeping partner complained of snoring noises. I've tried nasal strips, Flonase, and daily Claritin, all of which seem to help a bit, but none consistently eliminates the dry mouth. I am not a heavy chainsaw type snorer, but I make enough noise to keep a very important person from sleeping very well. This thing does the job, no question. No sounds out of me, according to the morning reports. It is uncomfortable? Yes, a little bit, but not too bad. If it gets on too tight my tongue is a little pinched feeling for the first hour or two of the day. Once in a while it gets out of place and I wake up and find myself biting it. The device works fairly well. Still snore sometimes even when my tongue is in the device. I did have to cut the bottom flap back so that it does not irritate my lower gum line which was causing considerable discomfort. The device is very expensive for a simple plastic/rubber part.
