Dr. Bonnie and the entire staff were incredible. Putting down an animal is never an easy thing, but Dr. Bonnie, Chelsea, Dwight, and the front desk staff were supportive and kind every step of the way. I can't thank them enough for giving Midge so much love and care before and during his journey into the next life. Knowing he felt love during his final moments brings me peace during an otherwise difficult time. Thank you all
GOTHAM VETERINARY CENTER Gotham is a small intimate veterinary practice, with great dog/cat art on the walls in a clean welcoming environment. They deliver first rate animal/pet care. The reception staff is friendly and accommodating. The Technicians are caring, friendly and knowledge and carry or walk your dog as they would there own. Dr. Brown is the best, thorough, caring and knowledgeable. It's a reassuring pleasure to visit for my dogs annual and every other month nail clippings.
Dr. Bonnie Brown is a vet of extraordinary integrity and compassion. She has assembled a first-rate team, among whom our cat (by chance also named Bonnie) has benefited most from their superb dental specialist, Dr. Horvat, who we credit with saving our beloved feline's life. The comment from another reviewer regarding picking up a "vibe" that "they were there to take your money" is beyond ludicrous, as the prices are unbelievably reasonable, and the commitment shown by every GVC (with a shout out to the desk team) is extraor... read more
We have been with Bonnie Brown for as long as I can remember. Nothing but amazing things to say about this practice. They never over charge or over test, they do all they can with still being realistic. Highly recommended
I would highly recommend! A big improvement over my other vet. The vet sat and spoke with me twice about my dog, which helped me see she wanted to work together and get my information to best support him. She also was honest and fair, not ordering unnecessary procedures that my old vet had recommended. I was in and out in 40 or so minutes, even as a new patient!
All the vets seem really capable, but the reason that I moved to another practice, is that it's hard to get a consistent vet, and each different vet seems to treat each health issue separately, without looking at the pet holistically. They also mostly take your pet to the back for the exam, you wait in the waiting room, and then they come back out to the small waiting room so you have to talk to vet make choices in front of whoever is waiting (with their pets). Front desk seems capable but it's not a place where they rem... read more
I've been going here for close to 15 years. They helped my very sick puppy lead as long a life as possible with a genetic disorder and were there at the end providing loving care. He loved visiting his doctors. They helped me when I rescued a stray cat hit by a car, performing extensive dental work on him to relieve his pain. And with my two new boys, they helped them through a miserable infection. Always helpful, straightforward, providing options and guidance in painful decisions, and being a place my fur babies love to vi... read more
I was looking for a reputable vet practice on the UWS for our 2 year-old rescue Maltese from the Humane Society. A new friend highly recommended Dr. Brown and I am happy to report our first visit went smoothly! With a small caveat. I made an 8:30 a.m. appointment because I didn't want to stress Janis out coming later and having to deal with an office full of animals. I was there early, ( it was Dr. Brown's first appointment) but wasn't seen on time. Not a great first impression and I wasn't told about a delay. It was a lit... read more
Dr. Brown was the primary vet for our beloved Teddy. Last year, when he got sick with an aggressive cancer she took care of him until it was time to let him go. All through that painful time she was so kind and compassionate as were the members of her staff. Now we have a new puppy and we're looking forward to many years with Gotham Veterinary Center as our newly beloved pet's primary care facility.
