Dr. Davis is hands down one of the best veterinarians at Gotham Vet Center. She's very kind, attentive and available after hours in emergency situations. My morkie has been a bit unlucky and an occasional meddler and has gotten into all sorts of trouble - and Gotham has saved her life on multiple occasions. Wow, my fiancée took my dachshund to Gotham to have a dental consultation with Patricia. The result was that the rough idea is that she wanted to potentially remove 6 teeth. Needless to say I was shocked, my poor little buddy is only 5 years old (he IS a dachshund and does have a big overbite) but I was still shocked. I walked in around 930am (our first visit to the Vet since we moved to NYC a week or so ago) and requested to see if a doctor was around, they were completely booked for the day but accepted us as an emergency case upon my request. My dog was severely dehydrated and was suffering from Giardia (as the tests later indicated), so he needed IV drips and was required to stay overnight. Yelp can get pretty scary when looking for reviews on pet care. You want nothing but the best, a fair price, and an establishment that really gives a damn about your family member. I hated searching on here, and asking friends. I am glad I didn't have to find out the hard way and switch vets after moving to the city. Gotham is what I would want in my vet. I didn't know what happened to my baby puppy until I brought her here. All along I thought she was just lonely because her sister died, but I felt something off and because she wasn't eating for 2 days. I was worried and I needed to bring her to a care center. Thus, Cherry, my puppy, had a blood clot in her head, the vet said she might be hit by something, or she fell. I brought my cat here because my mom had a wonderful experience with Dr. Brown's care of my dog. The facility is great and we chose this vet because of the loving care they provide. When your pet has to stay overnight or have surgery, they are on the main floor in a comfortable room with cages right outside of the operating room so they constantly see people and are right by the nurses all day. I just got back from their office. The issue I had was a minor miscommunication with the receptionist. If I could, I would give them TEN stars based on my experience so far. Not only did Patricia Dominguez call me back, she came in on her day off to see me and my cat. Her visit was BEYOND thorough, she spent over two hours with me going over his history, all of the issues I have had and this is not counting the time she spent trying to get the medical records from the Humane Society. Dr. Cristina Carbonell took care of my cat issues today. The receptionists were so so welcoming and amazing, Ayssa welcomed me with a beautiful smile and made me feel comfortable right away. The Doctor was so kind and straight forward. I never imagined i would spend less $$ at a vet on the Upper West side then a Vet in Washington Heights. Very satisfied with my visit.
