Scam. Impersonated and pretended they worked for PSEG and tried to manipulate me to switch my energy provider over to them. To their CEO/marketing/sales team: do you want to gain the trust of your customers? Don't do this.

Representative came to our door saying that other residents have been complaining of too high energy bills. He claimed to be from a company "in charge of the **** distribution for *******." Boyfriend answered the door, signed the form before I came out and said we were not interested in the service. Wow thank goodness I didnt fall for this. A guy shows up at my door and starts talking quickly. It sounds like hes from PSE&G and he wants me to get a lower ****. I gave him my info which is kind of dumb, but when it comes time to sign a contract, he kept telling me to just sign it. And thats when I snap back to reality and it dawns on me how sketchy everything is. Im like why on earth would I sign a contract without even having time to read it. How is the even legal? A lady came to my door stating she was with housing and reading our meters . She never disclosed she was with a third party provider. She said they come once a year to check the tenants meters to make sure we are getting billed correctly . She said I would get a call from somebody and u needed to say yes and yes . When my husband signed us up, they were **************. Now, everything comes up Green Choice Energy. Our first **** with them, we saved $15. The following **** skyrocketed to nearly double of what we paid last year with BGE. After reaching out to the company online, no one has yet to follow up with our concerns. Several reps got into my apartment building and went door to door. They said they were "here on behalf of PPL" and wanted to make sure we weren't being over charged. Not once did they actually Admit that they were there to try to sell me on Green Choice but underhandedly implied that they were there from PPL to make sure I had a "provider". EXTREMELY unethical sales practice. No one knows how they even got in the building so we're assuming they piggy backed a resident as it was after 6PM on a Sunday and the office was closed... read more
