15 years later, and I'm still going to Hill Country Animal Hospital. We have a very reactive dog now who is no fan of going to the vet. Last year we tried a mobile pet vet. While they were good, it was a huge mistake. Even though she knows we're pulling up to the vet and freaks out, when you get in, at least they have confined spaces and extra hands to help handle the dog. Amazing experience from start to finish! My 2 cats and I relocated from NYC almost a year ago and they were due for their annual. I was anxious to take them to a new vet and this was their first car ride since the move (cats and flying :/). My boys did great and everyone from the front desk, to the vet tech, and Dr. Kemnitz were so warm and welcoming. They were thorough in their care, weren't rushed, and listened to all my concerns. After returning home from a two week summer vacation, our two year-old corgi was a hot mess! his eyes were red his belly was red and itchy. He couldn't stop scratching, and his ears were bothering him. This wonderful staff worked me in without an appointment on a Saturday. Dr. Ryan and William. The vet tech were amazing. They prescribed some allergy meds, cream for his eyes and ears, and the dog was a different animal the very next day. This staff is amazing. I highly recommend them!

So grateful for HCAH! Not only is all of the staff extremely kind and never make you feel stupid for asking what I'm sure are obvious questions to them, they also won't break your wallet! If you tell them that you don't have $1000+ to spend, they will help you and work with you while still giving you 5 star service! For example, I told Dr. Hanley that I couldn't afford the heartworm treatments they had on site, so she helped me find a more affordable one online. I've been coming to Hill Country for a two years and know many who have been clients for 10+ years. Every service is convenient, staff is quick, compassionate, and professional. Our dog is slow to trust and they have always been patient with her.

I have used Hill Country since they opened 30 years ago, and have had the best experience with all of our many fur babies. Everyone is competent, on time, friendly, and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone. Thank you for being a great place for our pets.

This is a fantastic vet facility and day care. I'm not sure I believe the two poor reviews since there is another Hill Country animal in the area. I have been going here for over 10 years and have found everyone to be caring, compassionate, helpful, kind and professional. I've never seen anything but cleanliness and I have never seen more than 3 people in the waiting area for 3-4 vets in house.

Dr. Pickett , Dr. Kemnitz, and the whole team helped guide me through one of the most difficult times in my adult life. They were extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and compassionate when it came to my cat's last days. Don't be afraid to voice your concerns ' they will listen.

Our 4 1/2 yr old Dutch Shepherd was really having hip issues.....worried sick I made an appointment based on a referral from a dear friend. The Staff could not have been nicer. I could come INSIDE with my dog for a consultation- The reason I did not go to my old vet is they are still "drop your dog at the curb" nonsense. I'm not doing that with my dog-period. They immediately took x-rays and Dr Holcomb went over them with me, in person, in a very patient personal manner, with every detail where I could see and understand ... read more
